Think about a childhood most would call perfect. The "roof over your head", food, and a family. All destroyed by one youth entangled girl. You could say she was normal just like the rest of us, struggled with everyday things. Mostly anger.
Born in a place she'll later remember as cold and wet. With the faint memories of catching frogs and getting in trouble for being bearfooted. Yellow, green, and red leaves fall from the trees above onto the patches of grass beneath. It was a wild play ground for a child with simple needs. Wanting nothing more than attention and a good adventure. She would later find her self on an adventure she thought she'd never be on.
Growing up started easy just as it did for you. Bus rides to school and getting bullied or being the bully. Having a teacher who didn't understand at the time (the girl) was nearly deaf. To the sad moment it was time to move. It was a big change resulting in the fear of being alone. Even though at that time (3ed grade) she didn't know fear was what she was feeling. The time was now to be moving things into place in their first real home. It was around that time that her story actually started to begin.
Remember how I said she was nearly deaf may I add she has a reading and spelling issue. Taking an interest to things like band and orchestra she was slowly trying to find who she wanted to be. She was the girl who was afraid of the bigger kids walking past her. But if it came to getting something done she was always determined to find a way. Even if it came down to things you don't picture a little kid to do.
She was also one to give up when she became frustrated. Or if others believed she would not be good at "It". "It" was things like sports, music, and art. Being apart of her school choir for three years as soon as her sister stepped onto the stage her dream slowly left. By left she means she was told her sister was better at singing than she was. But she was also a basketball player, using her weight and speed to her advantage. She trains for almost hours a day to sometimes not at all. With her "dad". Latter having the dream to be a star girls basketball player the same person that gave her the dream also told her she would never be able to do it. She later found that by doing things people couldn't help her with she would find her true passion for art.
Her name is Sam.
Sam had no positive way to let out the things she felt inside. The hurt and anger that came from being the person others didn't want her to be. She was not only a stubbern teen who thought she knew everything but a shy girl who didn't understand life. Mostly her own life. Having being told the man she knew as dad was not her own to flying 10,000 miles above to see a family at the time she didn't have a chance to know. Only being able to meet for no longer than a few months a year things began to grow frustrating once again for Sam.
Again. They moved, this time to a place you would be able to call a maze if you've never been there before. The only advantage was the park down the street. That park would later have more meaning but that's something Sam didn't know. It was a new adventure this time for a high school girl.
