"It's broken." DO sigh and all of us groaned. We'd just got back to the dorm from dance practice and it was freezing.
"Hyung!" Baekhyun groaned, flopping off his chair onto the floor. I couldn't help but laugh at his pout, nudging his limp body with my foot.
"We have no heating. I'll call the managers in the morning. Make sure you wrap up warm tonight." DO continued, shutting the boiler cupboard with a loud bang.
"So what now?" Minnie asked, gripping my arm, his teeth chattering.
DO walked over to the stove, turning it on and setting some milk to boil before turning to face us again, "I'll make hot chocolate and we'll go to bed."
Everyone seemed happy with this plan, except Baek who let out another dramatic groan, cut short by DO who stepped on his hand, making him yelp.
Minnie let out a small shudder beside me, sliding closer to me unconsciously for heat and I put an arm around his shoulders. We both looked at the window to see it had begun to snow, "This is stupid. Why does the heating have to break now?" I murmured.
Minesoek shrugged, slipping out from my hold to sit at the table, watching DO make the drinks eagerly. A small twinge of disappointment attacked my chest, but I ignored it, pulling out the seat opposite and rubbing my hands together.
"I'm ordering Chinese." Baekhyun announced suddenly from where he lay on the floor, and DO gave him a kick.
"No you aren't. Now get up and sit at the table."
Baekhyun and DO exchanged a sour look, then Baekhyun got up taking the seat beside Minseok.
"I'm getting up because I want to." He declared childishly.
Baekhyun and Minnie began to converse, Baekhyun still sulking from DO's 'affectionate' abuse. I watched as they talked, and Baekhyun stretched an arm across the back of Xiumin's chair turning to face him. Seok spoke animatedly about the choreography Kai was making us perfect this evening, and I found myself wishing he was talking to me; not Baekhyun, who did not appreciate the way his eyes lit up when he was passionate about something, and the way he did little movements with his arms, almost shyly, to illustrate each and every sentence. I looked away, my teeth gritted; distracting myself by watching DO pour the now hot milk into three mugs and spoon in some cocoa.
"You should tell him." DO said quietly as he leant over my shoulder to place a mug in my hands.
I shrugged, sipping my drink, and let out a wide yawn, "Can I take the first shower?"
When Baekhyun and Minseok didn't respond DO nodded and squeezed my shoulder, "Sleep well."
"You too." I murmured, "Thanks for the hot chocolate."
"No problem, Hyung."
After my shower I returned to mine and Minnie's room, shivering slightly in my thin pyjamas.
"It's cold." Minseok complained as I walked in. He was tucked in bed, duvet up to his ears.
I laughed at the sight and sat down on my bed, fiddling with the buttons on my phone, "Is Baekhyun ok now after his beating? Soo was pretty harsh tonight."
He smiled, pushing the duvet back and releasing his arms from the quilt, "Yeah DO promised that we can order Chinese tomorrow night when we get back, " He paused, "DO was being blunt with me tonight... did I do something wrong?"
I couldn't help the smile that crept across my face, "No I think he's just stressed. He can't get the move right, "I demonstrated the move and then smirked, "I think he's trying to impress Kai."
