Akila's POV

I started running, feeling the wet mud on the ground because it had been raining pretty hard over the last few days. Why was I running in the mud you say? Well......let's take it back a couple of years. While we do that, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. As you know already, my name is Akila. I wish I were like a normal 17 year old girl. You know.... has a bunch of friends, loves to shop, can't live without her phone, etc. Normal teenage girl stuff. But.....I'm just a little different from most people. Well......a lot different. You want to know why I'm different? Dont be scared but,....... I'm a werewolf. I know you guys are just thinking, " Yeah right, you can't possibly be a werewolf. You're just saying that so that we would think that you're cool." I wish j were lying to you guys, but unfortunately I'm not. So here's the story. (Jumps back into 2039)

(At home)

Beep. Beep. Beep. " Ughhhhhhhh. It's 5:30 in the morning! I don't wanna get up. Mom!" " Yes honey?" she said. " Can't I just skip school today?" " Kiki, this is the 10th time this month you've asked. I something wrong?" she said sounding really concerned. " Nothing's wrong, I just hate school, okay?" " Now you and I both know that's not a good enough excuse. Now get up before you miss the bus!" she said while swatting at my arm. "Okay, okay, I'm up, I'm up! Just please stop hitting me!" " Thank you. Be down in 10." After that she left the room. " Great. Another wonderful day at school." I thought to myself while rolling my eyes.

(Time skip)

After I had gotten dressed, I walked downstairs to see mom talking to someone at the door. " Mom! How many times must I ask you to not open the door. You know that I absolutely hate people." I said while crossing my arms. " You do realize that this is my house right? I can open whatever doors I would like." she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. " Yeah but-" " No buts. This is my house, I pay the bills, and I can open the door. Until you get yourself a house and pay rent, you will continue to watch me open doors." Mommmmmmmm" " Akilaaaaaaaaaaa" she said in the same whiney tone that I had used. " B-but whT if there were some type of serial killer or some psycho at the door. I don't want to lose you like we did dad." I said while starting to hyperventilate. " Kiki, calm down. I know you're worried, but there's nothing to be afraid of. Do you remember the Carters? They used to live down the street from us when we used to live in Jacksonville." she said. I stepped around her to see who was at the door, and I stood there shocked when I had seen who it was. It was Alexander Carter. My childhood nightmare.
