"What time is it Ymir?" My friend Lavender asks me from the other side of the bed. I pick up my phone and turn it on. "Eleven fifty-nine" I sigh. There was supposed to be one more of us here tonight, how disappointing. Lavender sighed along with me, matching my disappointment. "I thought Trace would've been here by now, it's almost time to tell scary stories!!" Lavender says giggling. I smile slightly. It takes a lot to make me smile. Even a little bit, but Lavender could do that better than anyone that I knew. Kids would try their best to make me laugh, although it was utterly pointless.
Lavender made a creepy yet hilarious face and held up her arms. "I'm gonna get youuu. Oooo!" She tried her bet to mimic a ghost. I started laughing uncontrollably. She pounced on top of me, tickling my sides. "N-no! Lavender please oh my god stop it!!" I shouted playfully. But to my surprise, she did in fact, stop tickling me. My face turned solemn. "Lavender, what is it?" I asked, concerned. She shushed me and pointed to the window. I looked at it and then back at her. I tilt my head confused. "Listen Ymir." She whispers, I listen. It was saint at first. But then it rose in volume. Lavender turned pale, "The piano. Ymir the piano!" She whisper-shouted. I swear I turned as pale as Lavender herself. We both heard it hat night, the majestic and ghostly music he piano was spreading throughout the area. I could imagine fingers flying over dusty keys. But then. I couldn't. "It... it stopped?" Lavender asked herself. She and I were both confused as to what we had just heard. But then we got an answer. In the form of an ear piercing scream. We jumped at the sudden change in atmosphere and sudden noise. But just as quickly as it started. It stopped. There wasn't another noise for the rest of the night.
