" I like you." Her words echo in my mind over and over.
Chucking I smile at her. She smiles back then gasps dramatically.
"You don't like me?" She says jokingly.
I seize the moment and lean in close to her ear, and soflty reply " I really like you, it's my favorite vowel"
She bursts into laguhter, a sound I could happily listen to for the rest of the evening. She has such a gentle presence and her beautiful personality shines through. whatever ex boyfriedn she had surely missed out and byu her reaction she wasnr the onen to end it.
I know a victim when I see one.
"You're very funny, but I'm guessing you already knew that." Her sweet voice brings me back into reality.
"But of course I do, now this might be a sensitive topic considering this evening past events," I see her facecoated with panic,"But would you like to dance with me? If dancing is a touchy subject I understand." I crack a huge grin and she is obvioulsy amused and relieved, smiles back at me.
"I don't know, I might fall but you can catch me right?" her tone full of teasing.
"I will always catch you" I reply with a serious tone, I really do like this girl. I might have been the one to catch her but I'm the one who's falling.
