The beginning

AJ POV

I have woken up today with a massive sense of excitement. Today is the start of training for strictly come dancing 2016. My name is AJ Pritchard and I am a new professional dancer on Strictly.

With a smile I pull myself out of the plush hotel bed and hurriedly get ready before racing next door to knock for Chloe my professional dance partner. We are best friends and starting this strictly experience with her makes it even more exciting.

As I arrive her door bursts open and her smiling face appears. Together we get into the taxi and we are on our way to our very first day of strictly come dancing.

Claudia's POV

I have woken up with a feeling of dread. I have never been more nervous in my life. Today rehearsals for strictly come dancing start and I have to meet all my competitors as well as all the professional dancers. I have woken up with a massive headache and I feel as if I should sleep for 3 days straight. I have only just got back from the Rio Olympics and the Jet lag is overwhelming.

Slowly I force myself out of bed and put on some comfortable clothes as I figure despite my fatigue there will be a lot of moving today. I don't bother to put any make up I as I don't need to impress anyone... My gymnastics is too important for me to give up precious training time for a boyfriend. Plus I expect everyone will be much older than me as I am only 18.

I trudge downstairs to find my mum waiting to take me to rehearsals in the car and with a deep breath I climb in. Let's see what strictly has to offer then!
