A Light without Power

PROLOGUE

"Darling, do you like our new house?" mom asks me. "Yes mom, it's big enough for me to play." I giggled. We just moved to a new city. It's called Bandle City. I do not know if I can find some friends here. "Mom, are you a Mage?" I asked her. "Why did you asked Lulu?" "I just wonder what am I."

I wish I knew what am I. "Oh, Lulu, you'll know it when you're first year highschool." she said.

"Mom, I have to go! I'm almost late!" I hurried towards the door of our house.

"Okay darling, good luck. I love you darling!" she smiles and waved goodbye.

"Love you too mom!" I answered hurrying.

Oh jeez, I am almost late. I ran to our school. It's just a walking distance from our house.

"Good morning Lulu!" Sciron greeted me. "Good morning Sciron!" I smiled.

"You're almost late huh?" "Oh yeah, I woke up late." I flush red embarassed.

I sat down beside Sciron when our teacher arrives. I'm just lucky that I arrived earlier than her.

"Good morning class!" Ms. Annie greeted.

"Good morning Ms. Annie!" "Okay, take your seats. Now be prepared for your first quiz about our world. I'll require you to right a short essay about it. You may start now."

I took my paper. Oh jeez, I wish I will pass this quiz. I woke up late because of studying for this. I just know a little about our world. I wrote down everything I know.

*Noxus is a complicated world. It is full of mysteries. There are different people living here; assassins, knights, mages, priests, helping each other to make a peaceful world. There are some legends and myths about monsters, dragons, faeries, etc.*

I wonder if these legends are true. I want to learn further about it.

*The legend states that monsters kill people no matter what class they are. It states that monsters feed on people. The world is cruel before. Then dragons came. The legend states that dragons at first kill people like the monsters but people learned how to train dragons which makes them easier to fight and kill monsters. The legend states that monsters are now extinct and now people are living peacefully with each other. However, there are some issues of misunderstandings between the classes. There are some rumors about assasins killing some knights and about mages competing with the priests. It is just that complicated.*

Oh, I wish this is enough.

"Hey! Psst! Lulu!" Sciron whisphered beside me.

"What? Can't you see I'm focusing on my essay?"

"I'm sorry but I need some information. Please. I forgot to study last night."

"No. It will just cause trouble."

"Please Lulu. I need to pass."

"Okay. Fine." I sighed.

I give him some infromation I know. Oh I do not know if I'm helping him or just making it worse. I know it's wrong to cheat but I just can't take seeing him scolded by our teachers because of failing. He's such a good friend of mine; doing favors for me, making me happy and helping me if I'm in trouble. He's my very first friend here at Bandle City. We're friends for four years now.

"Okay, times up! Please pass your works. " Ms. Annie announces.

We passed our works. I just wish my work is enough.
