~Percy's POV~

My hands shook as I walked up to the apartment, the one on the upper East side of Manhattan, the one I sadly hadn't see in almost two years.

The Giant war had ended only a couple hours ago, although it was already pretty late at night and it was getting extremely dark.

I couldn't help myself though, I begged Chiron to have Argus bring me to Manhattan, I had to see my mother.

I inhaled shakily as I stood in front of the wooden brown apartment door of the Jackson's, staring at the peephole knowing that I'd finally get to see my Mom again.

I exhaled nervously, taking a step forward and knocking on the large wooden door.

The sound echoed across the hallway before the air was filled with silence.

They weren't home.

I swallowed trying not to panic.

After all I had been through, my worst fear was what would've happened to Sally and Paul.

I closed my eyes, my body trembling.

Thankfully, I'd always kept a spare set of keys on my bedside table in my cabin at camp.

So with shaky hands I fished it out of my jean pocket inserting it into the keyhole.

I turned it slowly, hearing the familiar sound of the door unlocking.

I opened the door and stepped inside.

The place seemed almost like It had before I'd left.

Even the smell of blue chocolate chip cookies hung in the air.

I smiled to myself.

Home, Sweet, Home

I plopped myself down on the couch not bothering to turn on any lights when suddenly I heard the familiar sound of the door knob open and I scrambled to my feet.

~Sally's POV~

"Oh Paul, did you see that one kid?" I questioned as I opened the door to the apartment.

"The one with the dark brown hair who ordered that extra large pizza?" Paul replied locking the door behind us.

I nodded my head smiling,
"He devoured his pizza within seconds of it arriving," I chuckled softly turning on the kitchen light and dropping the keys down on the dining table.

I continued,
"He reminds me so much of P-"

"My, my," a voice cut me off.

I whipped my head towards the sound and instantly froze in my tracks.

"Do you know what time it is?" The voice questioned and a figure emerged from the shadows of the unlit hallway, tapping their wrist pretending to check the time.

What I saw- Who I saw made my hands shake and my breathing stop.

The figure that appeared before me was one I hadn't seen in almost 2 years.

One I had longed and pleaded to see for Hades knows how long now.

They were tall, taller than me now, with windswept jet black hair and beautiful sea green eyes. They wore a tattered Camp Half-Blood shirt, cuts, bruises, and dirt all over their body and face.
They had gotten tanner and leaner, although they seemed frailer and worn out. Their smile, the one that had always gotten them branded as a troublemaker was less enthusiastic and more or less, forced. As If smiling were painful, and something they haven't genuinely done in a while.

"P-Percy?" I whispered my eyes brimming with tears.

"Hey Mom...." Percy croaked breathlessly before surging towards me.

He engulfed me in a hug and we collapsed to the ground grasping onto each other tightly.

He dug his face into my shoulder as he sobbed, his body shaking and his tears soaking into my light blue blouse.

"Oh Percy," my voice trembled.

"Oh Baby, I thought I'd lost you." I sobbed.

"Mom, I'm- I'm so sorry I-" his voice was no more than a whisper, stumbling and struggling to form words to explain his disappearance.

I loosened the embrace ever so slightly to look at Percy's face.

I touched his messy black hair, placed a finger under his chin, wiped away the tears that streamed down his cheeks.

All the suffering, worry, and hopelessness, it all dissolved the longer I looked at Percy, felt his face and heard his body breathing knowing that he was healthy, safe, and most importantly, alive.

I stared at my precious baby boy, wiping another tear that raced down his cheek.

"Shhhh...." I muttered embracing him once again.

"It's okay Percy, It's not your fault." I shook my head rubbing his back comfortingly.

I couldn't help myself, I hugged him even tighter, indulging in his salty scent and the sound of him breathing.

"Mom." A muffled voice whispered.

"Can't....Breathe." It choked out.

Suddenly I snapped out of my daze and realized the voice was coming from none other than the body trapped in my arms, Percy.

I quickly released him and he gasped for air.

"Geez, I survive a full out war but almost get suffocated to death by my own mother." He comments coughing.

This was the night, the most memorable and happiest night in the Jackson's apartment. The night the Jackson's made 10 Batches of blue chocolate chip cookies to celebrate, the night Percy made a dozen of deformed blue cookies and the kitchen looked like it had been attacked by the Cookie Monster, the night the Jackson's laughed harder than they had in a long time, the night Percy smiled the brightest, the night where everything was okay again, because this was the night, the night Sally had wanted the the most, where her family was complete again.

A/N: What did you think? I know this wasn't exactly Percabeth but the Mother and son reunion was something I just really wanted to write because it was something that I had been waiting and wanting at the end of BoO but never got. But! I'll make it up to you guys cuz in my next chapter it'll been plainly focused on Percabeth which will hopefully be up within the next two weeks.

Until then my bootiful demigod potatoes!
