     ALIA ABBERDON'S fingers clenched tightly around the piece of parchment, her eyes scanning over it thoroughly. Her jet black hair cascaded down the side of her face, concealing the tears slipping from her eyes. She felt two fingers press into her shoulder. "They're almost here, Alia. Make the decision now."

     The woman stared up at her husband. He was once very handsome — she had to go so far as somersaulting in front of him just to capture his attention. He was now a man aged, wrinkles forming on his face and his eyes slowly losing all life inside of them. He offered her a slight nod, checking behind him to see if they had invaded their home yet.

     She heard a bubbling cry. She blinked back her tears to see her child, only aged a month, lying in her crib with hands up in the air, pleading for someone to lift her up. Alia sniffled, quickly jotting down two names before she heard her husband's shouts of terror.

     She received the same fate moments later, as Bellatrix Lestrange held her down and spoke the Cruciatus Curse with a menacing snarl. One of the figures dressed in black moved to the crib, but Lucius Malfoy ceased his movements.

     "Leave the child. She will most likely remain in my care."

     Bellatrix jumped from the ground, satisfied with her work. Alia Abberdon's body twitched violently, her screams echoing throughout the house. Her husband, Ian, already took his last breath from beside her. Bellatrix snatched the note from the table, giggling.

     "I think your friends had someone else in mind, Lucius."

     Lucius stepped over Alia's body, showing no remorse for the woman. He had forgotten the double dates him and Narcissa would have with the Abberdon's, or the fact that he was Ian's best man at their wedding. He especially forgot when he saw the two names Alia scribbled down at the bottom of the page.

     To whom it may concern: my daughter must be left in the hands of Molly and Arthur Weasley.
