Jaime sat beside the bed watching the clock tick away the time. It had been two hours since he got the call from his father and took watch over his brother, but it felt like forever. It was as if time stood still. He shifted his gaze back to the man in the bed and couldn't help but wonder, how did they get here? How did his tough, intense, sometimes annoying older brother, end up lying in a hospital unconscious after having a panic attack? He never thought that there was anything that could break Danny, and it seemed like an insult to even wonder if it was possible. To him it seemed like everything just rolled off his big brother's back. That he could do anything and that he was as tough as nails. He'd never seen him like this. He had no clue what to do, how to act. This was like a foreign concept to him. The only thing he knew he could do was try and find Harley, and put an end to this. He remembered when his father had called him, and told him about his brother. Told him that his big brother might have had a heart attack, then only to learn it was a panic attack. The fear that rushed through his body at the idea of a heart attack, the idea of losing his brother after the near death experience he already over come. Danny had been through too much. They all had. He had to end this. For him. Just then his attention was brought out of his thoughts by the sudden movement from the man lying in the bed. He watched as his brother's hazel eyes fluttered open and Jaime finally relaxed for the first time since he got there.

"Hey," Jaime said quietly.

"Hey," Danny responded, his voice rough and hoarse.

"Want some water?" Jaime asked and reached for the plastic cup next to him when Danny nodded his head. Danny tried to sit up to drink but the tightness still remaining in his chest left him wincing in pain. Jaime placed a caring hand on his shoulder as he tried to make himself comfortable again. Then his little brother placed the cup in his grip and he took a couple gulps. He could feel the cool water soothing the fire in his throat and the knots in his chest. He handed Jaime the cup back with a thankful smile and suddenly there was silence. Jaime just watched him and soon it started feeling unsettling.

"Stop staring at me," Danny started firmly and Jaime snapped of it.

"Sorry," he told his brother, "do, um, do you remember what happened?"

"Yeah," Danny answered, "and it, uh, it was nothing."

"A panic attack is not nothing Danny," Jaime fought back.

"I'm fine," Danny protested.

"Are you?" Jaime countered with slight frustration in his voice. Why wouldn't Danny just admit that this was bothering him? That it was driving him up a wall? Because everyone could see that it was. Danny sat silently for a few moments looking off into space, before he finally turned to his brother.

"Jaime don't worry about me, okay?" Danny told him, "there are other things that you should be worrying about besides me."

"Well I'm choosing to worry about my brother," Jaime disagreed, "and I think that's warranted. If this were any other day, if this were any other case, this wouldn't have happened."

"So what are you saying, I've gone off the rails or something?" Danny countered sarcastically.

"I'm saying that we both know this is bothering you. Pretending like it's not is only gonna make it worse. We're gonna get this guy, Danny. I'm gonna get this guy. It's gonna be okay," Jaime told him, trying to make him really hear him. All he was focused on was helping his older brother. Danny turned and looked at him, his expression completely somber. Jaime could see that he had gotten to him.

"I know you will," Danny said, "but I also know that he is capable of anything and everything. That hasn't changed since I was 12. He put a hole in me as a scare tactic. He's not afraid of anything. There's no telling what he'll do." Danny's fear was understandable. He was being taunted and tortured by a monster from his past, who probably left him with demons he didn't want to bring back. Jaime soon began to worry about what would happen if they didn't stop Harley. What it would do to him, because right now, it was breaking the tough older man he knew. Just then, Frank walked back into the room and walked right over to his son's bedside.
