It will get better, they say
But what do they know?
They don't self harm,
They have nothing to show.
You don't have a reason, they say
But they don't know me,
They think I'm so happy,
But that's just what they see.
You're gonna hurt yourself, they say
But what do they care
They don't ever listen to me,
Even when I open up to share.
Stop doing it, they say
But they don't understand
Self harm is addictive,
It's gotten way out of hand.
I'll be there for you, they say
But it's all just lie
They forget me so quick,
It's just another reason to die.
I still love you, they say
But then they see me weak
They stand to see me like this anymore,
I'm way too meek.
She's so nice, they say
But behind my back it's different
She should just die, they say,
Their words were sufficient.
Don't do it, they say
But they don't get it
There's nothing they can do,
And I'd never regret it.
She was so loved, they say
But that's because I'm gone
Such a sad way to go
To jump off a bridge at dawn.
She was so sad, they say
But what do they know?
I'm so happy right now,
It was my time to go.
It was my fault, they say
But they don't know me
It was society's fault,
That I jumped in the sea.
