A/N: IF YOU DIDN'T READ TE AUTHORS NOTE PLEASE GO BACK! ITS PRETTY DAMN VITAL!

"Hey Charlie, can you tell mom-... oh uh ill just tell her myself." Phoebe stuttered walking out awkwardly

I laid my head back on the pillow that wasn't occupied by the boys head lying next to me. We didn't nor were we having sex. Despite the fact that we were both half naked and looked flushed. All night we laid together in a sense of euphoria and enjoyed eachother's company, of course something almost happened. But it didn't. That's when poor Phoebe walked in. In conclusion, we, as in Charlie and I were completely innocent. Kind of.

As we dressed and headed down the stairs to the kitchen where Charlies father was currently cooking, Charlie gave me on last look before creating a huge distance between us after handing a glass of water.

"Morning, did you have a good time last night?" Mrs. Aldrich asked attentively causing me to choke on the water currently in my mouth

"Mom we didn't do anything." Charlie said annoyed

"I never said you did... but that's not what Phoebs said."

"'Phoebes a liar. And she doesn't know what she saw." He groaned

Since we got downstairs he'd been avoiding my stares and my nudges at him. I mean I get it last night wasn't exactly planned but shit.

"Hey! Save that for the bedroom mister." Mr. Aldrich said in a jokingly stern tone

God am I just not here?

"Da-" I cut him off because clearly he was uncomfortable. "No, Me and Charlie didn't do anything much to his dismay im sure. Phoebe walked in at the wrong moment."

Charlies father stared at me both shocked and seemingly impressed before resuming his morning routine with a smirk on his face. I quickly said my goodbyes before rushing out the door; Charlie didn't even look at me as I left.

My mind raced as I thought about what just happened, Charlie was definitely the hottest guy I've ever met, and I'm almost positive he's aware of his undoubted good looks and last night wasn't anything of what I expected and I'm sure he feels the same about it based off how this morning went. You see Charlie and I have been friends since forever him and his family, The Aldriches have always been there for me. They were there when my mom died, and when my father became a drunk. His parents were there for me financially and lovingly, his sister Phoebe was there for me so I could have another girl to talk to and Charlie... Charlie was there to help me for all of the above and more. He was the stability in my life that I never had. That person I never asked for or deserved but got anyway. He was pretty much my everything.

And that is the exact reason all of this was a mistake.

Last night, Charlie was helping me out with stupid chemistry because lets be honest here, If I'd known we weren't just blowing things up and mixing chemicals, I wouldn't have joined that damned class. I don't care about poly-atomics and that AU is the atomic symbol for gold when it should be a damn G, I mean the last time I checked -and hopefully im not just some idiot who can't spell- but there isn't an A or a U In the word gold.

I had gotten to Charlies house around six and for the first half of the night it was strictly studying but the second half wasn't exactly... that.

"That's right! Right?" I said hopelessly looking down at the paper

"Well, I guess. If you're talking about a covalent substance." he says his eyebrows furrowed and amusement sparkling in his eyes.

I most definitely was not talking about a stupid covalent substance.
