Chapter 11

The day came to an end, I was probably the only one in the office. Apparently it was very urgent or else I wouldn't wait but the previous CA did absolutely nothing so I had to start from the beginning of preparing financial reports of the previous year in just a few days which is usually prepared in a year.

I slide in my car and put the keys in ignition. I started my car but the engine refused to start. Just my luck! I thought to myself.

I tried to start it but to no avail.I got out of my car and looked around for a cab. Just then a stylish car came and stopped besides me. The windows rolled down to reveal Ethan sitting in the backseat.

"Any problem Erica?"

"Actually my car's not working."

"Come I'll drop you. "He stepped out of the car before I could say anything.

"No its okay I don't want to bother you, I'll figure out something."

"Come on it's not at all a problem, I'll drop you home." He said.

"But my car's here how can I.. "He cut me off," I'll take care of your car don't worry. This is the least I could do to my employees. Besides its getting late you shouldn't be alone, come."

Sighing I got in his car, he opened the door for me. Such a gentleman. I thought to myself. I couldn't help but smile at his chivalrous gesture. I gave my address to his driver and then we drove off. Ethan pressed some button shielding us from the front seat. It was just two of us now.

I noticed his side profile. He was sexy from every angle. His sharp jawline, his perfect sculpted nose, his lips all were just perfect.

"Like what you see?" He suddenly spoke. I looked away in embarrassment. He just chuckled.

I knew my silence would only feed his ego so I spoke, "I've seen much better." His smile immediately fell. Seeing his face I wanted to burst out laughing. However I controlled myself and just smirked. He realized that I was just joking and his lips curved into a beautiful smile. We both laughed together. After that we settled into a comfortable silence.

He took a deep breath and spoke, "Look Erica I know that this is probably too fast but I can't keep this to myself anymore. I ...... I really really like you." He said breathlessly.

His admission left me speechless. I mean I liked him too but I never expected him to return the feelings. I just thought that maybe he was just playing with me.

"Say something, Erica." He spoke in a soft gentle tone.

"I don't know what to say. I mean I never expected you to say something like this to me." I spoke the truth.

"Its okay you don't need to say something if you don't want to. Its okay if you don't feel anything for me, I can't force you for liking me its just that I thought.... " I immediately cut him off," I never said that I don't have feelings for you." I said too quickly. His earlier fallen face immediately lit up.

"Then try to find out your true feelings."

"How?" I asked in confusion.

"Go out with me." He spoke simply.
I thought for some time when he spoke.

"Give it a try. We could get to know each other." He said.

When I didn't reply he spoke, "Say yes, Erica." He was pleading yet there was so much authority in his tone.

How could I say no when he pulled out the most cuttest puppy face. I chuckled and said," Yes"

His face lit up immediately and I got blessed with one of his breathtakingly beautiful smile.

"So when are we going for the date?"I asked.

"You wouldn't mind tomorrow, would you?"

"Tomorrow sounds good, yeah."

We reached my place sooner than we expected, or perhaps I just wanted to spend some extra time with him. I got out of his car.

"Thanks for the lift."

"I am glad that I could help you."

"Bye."

"Bye,baby."

I couldn't help but blush at the endearment.

"Hey Erica."

"Hey!" I had called Alex to tell her about my date with Ethan. It felt surreal to be going on a date with him. He could get any girl he wanted.Yet he wanted me, after rejecting him he didn't give up, he still kept trying.

"What's up? "

"Ehm... Actually I wanted to tell you about something... Actually someone."

"Who?" She asked.

"Actually Ethan.... Ethan and me... We are going on a date tomorrow." I spoke and blushed like a tenage girl.

"Really? I am so happy. So you finally gave in. I told you to give him a chance, see? "

"Yes, I am so grateful to you.I realised that he is not so bad. He actually apologized today and brought me flowers."

"Aww..."

"Yeah, I know...... And hey! What am I gonna wear. Please help me out."

"Don't worry girl, I'll help you to get ready, Ethan will go crazy when he'll see you."

"I hope so."

I went to sleep that night with dreaming of a handsome man who happens to be claiming of liking me.
