Alli's POV
We all went to the dinner hall and sat down. Me and the boys had to sit at the Hermes cabin, even though know for a fact I'm Thalia's sister. When we had to give part of our food to the gods and say some prayer, Niall had an argument about giving food to the gods. He still gave some berries to them but wasn't too happy. I throw some strawberries in the hearth and silently asked Zeus if he can accept me as his child. Moments later everyone's eyes are on me as they gasp. I look up and see all the symbols for all 12 Olympians.
"What does that mean?" a voice says. I turn around and see my old Social Studies, Mr. Parks but he was a centaur.
Then a booming voice comes from the fire. Everybody turns to it and see Zeus.
"It is doing that because ALL the gods and goddesses gave her some of their power so she could survive as a baby. We only did this because I loved her mom so much but she is my daughter so put her in the cabin with her sister Thalia!" Zeus' voice booms.
"Sir, are they full sisters?" Mr. Parks asks.
"Yes," Zeus says uneasily.
"Alli, Thalia, you have to stick together during battles. Understand?" Mr. Parks asks.
We nod as I move to the table Thalia was.
"Thank you" I mouth to the fireplace, as my father smiles at me warmly.
"So....." Thalia starts.
"What did he mean?" I ask.
"Who?" she asks.
"What Mr. Parks said, what does it mean?" I ask.
"You mean, Chiron? Honestly, I don't know, but I guess we'll find out," she says.
*next day*
Alli's POV
"Today we are gonna train. You are gonna find what weapon you can use and we will start from there," Mr. Parks, I mean Chiron said.
The new campers had to go a box so they could begin. We were waiting to practice with different weapons. A newer camper had to fight an older camper. I was up first and I was up against Clarisse. I grab a sword then when nobody was looking I put a knife in me boot.
"You think you can beat me?" Clarisse asked as all the eyes laid on me.
"Well there is nothing wrong with believing, now is there?" I shoot back.
She starts charging at me. I waited and timed myself to jump. Since I have powers like the Athena kids (goddess of battle stradegy and wisdom) it helps me time when someone swings. I jump and kicked the flat side of the sword, making it fall out of her hands. Everybody looks a little surprised because she is the daughter of Ares after all(god of war). She gets a little mad and knocks the sword out of my hand. She starts smirking but stops when she sees I pull something from my boot. I tackle her and out the knife beside her neck.
"She wins! She wins!" Clarisse yelped.
I get off of her and go back to standing by Zayn. Everybody still looks at me shocked.
"LOOK AWAY! I KNOW I'M VERY PRETTY, AND YOU WANNA BE LIKE ME! I'M SORRY YOU DON'T LOOK AWAY NOW!!!" I yell.
Niall busts out in hysterics soon as do the other boys. I turn around to look at Thalia and see her, Kaelin, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover in hysterics. I huff. How rude are they. Laughing at me. At least people stopped looking at me. I walk over to them.
"It's rude to laugh," I tell them, frowning.
"Oh my god, Alli. You have issues," Kaelin tells me, laughing.
"An issue telling the truth, maybe," I say, walking away before anyone could say anything.
Zayn was up next. Up against Annabeth, grabs some knives. He throws one and it lands right beside her throat. Then throws it at the other side before she could move. He runs up to her and puts a knife near her stomach. She called the round to him. The other boys fight then we go towards Thalia and the others. Clarisse comes up to us.
"Travis!" she comes close to me,"This ain't over."
"It is if you can't catch me," I say.
Clarisse clenches her fists and turns around. I see a tree and start running to it. Again they start laughing at me. Clarisse almost catches my foot. I start climbing faster until I'm at the top. Clarisse starts making me back up as she comes forward. I grab the pin from Spy School and push the top. It turns into a flying surfboard thing. I jump on it and start making a getaway. She starts climbing down the very tall tree while I was on the ground. Everybody at camp surrounds me.
"How'd you do it?" someone asks.
"Do what?" I ask.
"Beat Clarisse?" someone else asks.
"Is this what this all about?" I ask.
They nod.
"Nobody ever beats Clarisse. You're a legend! Can you sign me sword?" someone asks, giving me their sword and a pen.
"Sure, but your the only one," I say signing it.
This is going to be a long summer or rest of my life.
