Dublin. 2031. A little after three in the morning. At the base of an half destroyed skyscraper, in the darkness at the end of a decrepit alleyway, something stirred. The shadows began to ripple and combine. The dark became a manlike shape, a liquid of pure black wormed its way up the figure, engulfing it. The figure emerged from the shadows, cautiously looking around to make sure nobody saw what had just occurred. Then from a smashed window just 30 degrees west from where it was crouched a woman's voice cried out in horror and pain. The no longer dark figure jumped up from its crouch and darted in the direction that the noise came from. Just as the figure reached the end of the alley and turned right, it was grabbed. Three large men wearing dark hooded robes knocked the figure unconscious and stuffed it in an oversized bag." Are you sure this is it?" The youngest of the trio asked only to receive a jab in the ribs by what appeared to be the leader of the group." Sorry...lets...get going...before it wakes...up." The youngest man said still trying to catch his breath, he was obviously not enjoying himself unlike the other two who had the widest grins he had ever seen and then the grins disappeared an a dead seriousness masked their faces. The leader of the three cloaked men pulled out a hands free device from within his robes and placed it on his ear." Its time!" he ripped the ear piece away and placed back into his cloak. Almost instantly a black van flew around the corner of the street and pulled up beside them. The vans back doors swung open and the men leapt in hauling the bag up after them and slamming the twin doors shut. The driver then sent the van screeching away down the street waking anybody who was hiding nearby.
"We have the weapon. "We're heading back now." The driver squeaked down his own ear piece.
"Good...make sure it is unharmed!" A loud booming voice replied in his ear. A good twenty minutes later the van arrived at an old abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the capital city. The warehouse was archaic and surrounded by debris from the buildings that used to stand proudly next to the warehouse. The van doors swung open swung open, a squad of armed men stood at the doors, guns pointing towards each of their hooded heads." STATE YOUR PURPOSE AND PASSWORD!" A man of about 50 years spat at the men inside the van jabbing his rifle into the youngest hooded mans ribs who coughed gasping for air, again.
"Transportation, Password is Alpha-Quadro-9512-Brooks.Is that okay with you captain?" The leader of the hooded men replied pushing his way to the back of the van and removing his hood.
"OK MEN GUNS DOWN...WELCOME MR.BROOKS." The captain roared. Brooks stepped out of the van; the captain couldn't believe how enormous the guy actually was. Brooks towered above everyone; Brooks was at least three feet bigger than the captain. The captain couldn't decide whether he would want a tank to be racing towards him or Brooks. Brooks took a minute to evaluate his surroundings and then nodded to one of his followers to grab the bag that lay still on the van floor. After climbing over a collapsed roof which now formed a pretty well sheltered wall they came upon an archway with two heavily armed guards standing on either side. The captain strolled over to the guard on the left side of the archway and whispered something in the guard's ear; Briggs was surprised that the captain hadn't used his usual loud tone of voice since he had got out of the van. The guards head jolted to face the other guard on patrol and nodded, then simultaneously they stepped aside lowering their weapons and allowing the newcomers to pass.
The group headed down a long alley which used to be a well furnished hall that linked half a dozen grand rooms together, but now all that remained was rubble and the skulls of those who took refuge there during the wave of attacks. The alley was as treacherous as Brooks remembered it, filled with angled slabs of pavement, broken shards of glass, and the remains of life. A hole in the centre of the alleyway blocked their path with a drop of over one hundred meters. Brooks had to put quite some effort into trying to get around it with only just enough space to sidestep around it. He was suddenly held to a halt by the captain nearly knocking him backwards into the hole; it appeared that the captain had spotted something further down the narrow alleyway. Brooks and his men dropped behind a bush which was growing tenaciously out of a wide crack in the sidewalk. The captain ordered his squad to take their positions, with a wave of his hand they all stealthily darted off .The squad was dotted in various locations around the wreckage of the alley." WHO GOES THERE!?" The captain roared in his usual intimidating tone of voice. Something scuttled in the distance and a figure could just be made out, for an old man the captain didn't have bad eye sight. The figure turned towards him and began to sprint." hit...MEN TAKE HIM OUT.FIRE!" The whole squad fired at the creature who was haled with a fist full of bullets every second although the creature ducked and weaved out of the way of most of the bullets it began to slow. The creature was badly hurt but wasn't going to give up anytime soon and continued its chaotic sprint towards the captain leaping over an upturned rusty car. It looked human in everyway except for its eyes which glowed a bloody red, whilst in mid-air the creature was hit by a storm of bullets from the captains own weapon a P-90 sub machine gun that had been modified to hold extra ammunition. The creature's landed at the captains feet only to be booted back by the captain and knocked to the floor, whilst lying in a pool of its own blood the captain jumped onto the creature and opened fire on the creatures forehead blowing the head up and splattering yellow blood all up his uniform.
