Sonic bullets flew at X with incredible speed. He had less than a second to move. He pounded his fist on the ground and a mini-earthquake occurred. Lightning erupted from the ground and all the agents around him dropped like puppets. None of the bullets came close to hitting him.

But the victorious agent had no time to celebrate when he heard the noise. It came from above; he looked up and saw them. Hundreds of Enemy Agents, falling from the sky, some on motorcycles, others on jetpacks, all coming from a giant airship. For a moment, he just stared. What could be so important that you send this many men? Whatever Dr. Jupiter wanted him to get, it must be more important than he thought.

If I fight, more of them will just replace the old ones. Instead, he entered the building, a blast of lightning and a tackle to break down the door.

Agents must be trained for speed and stealth and know how to focus on the mission. X had no time to admire the décor. He needed to find the special object, whatever it was, before the other side did. But how can you look for something if you don't know what to look for?

It's probably a weapon, he thought. What else could the enemy want so badly?

With his weapon glove set on scanner, he started to search the house. Break door, scan, leave room, and repeat. Break door, scan, leave room, and repeat. Break door, scan, leave room, and repeat. When he finished scanning the current floor, he would run up the spiral staircase and repeat his little cycle on the next floor.

Right after he finished scanning the third floor, someone screamed. The high pitched scream came from the upper floor levels. The ninth, he deduced.

No time to climb the stairs. No time to scan the rest of the rooms. No time to think. Slow thinking will get you killed in the field.

The young agent focused all his energy at the earth and his powers. Rocks crumbled beneath him, massive energy coursed through his hands and into the ground. The earth shot out so fast and it just kept going up. If X hadn't mastered his powers and timing, he would never have been able to jump right at the moment the earth mountain reached his floor.

More screams followed the first one. The similar voice meant the same person. X stopped a second late because of the bullet whizzing past his ear. He was at the tenth floor and last floor, not counting the rooftop. Two enemy agents jumped off their rides and got on his earth mountain.

"How thick can you guys get? You know I control earth and yet you still have enough stupidity to step on rock. Drop your weapons." X had that commanding tone.

"Maybe you're the thick one. Of course we wouldn't do that," the taller enemy agent snarled.

"It wasn't a question or a request. It was an order. Drop your weapons or I'll drop you." To prove his point, he shook the earth mountain.

The two agents just stared.

"Drop the weapons or I drop you." X repeated with a warning tone.

"How about I shoot you, eh?" the taller one asked, pointing his gun. He pressed the trigger but by the time he could, the gun was pointed at his leg.

The man howled, looking at his poor leg.

"Too slow. I gave you the choice and look what happened. Next time, you get the choice, choose the one that will get you out of here without any broken bones. Have a nice fall." With a swift slash of his hand, the part where the two agents stood broke apart and fell.

X decided to jump off at the tenth floor and just take the stairs to the ninth. Another scream made him quicken his pace, jumping the rest of the eleven steps. While others might have broken a bone with that jump, he landed skilfully on his feet.
