          I was born into a good family. Except I was born blind in one eye. And my eye actually looked cool. Instead of green. It was a creamy white all over. But when I was little, I was scared of what people would think of it so I would let my hair lie on it.

My family went on many vacations all over the country, but it all happened when we went to the redwood forest. My mother, father, and older sister and brother were up ahead taking pictures of the tall trees while I was taking pictures of a banana slugs when they disappeared. I couldn't find them. Anywhere. I asked other tourists but they've never seen them. Even the park rangers haven't seen them. One ranger politely told me to sit in the last place they'd seen me instead of taking me to find them. So I did.

I sat there until it turned into a deep navy blue colour though it was hard to see through the branches. My parents weren't coming back I realized. I couldn't see the sky through the thick canopies so I didn't know if it'll be light soon. I sat on a fallen tree and listened to birds and crickets while I waited for the sky to lighten. But I fell asleep on the forest ground.

I was startled awake by howling. Terrified, I looked left and right hoping to catch a glimpse of the animal that made it. There was a rustle in the foliage at the base of an thick redwood. I couldn't focus my good eye on it, but I saw two gleaming red eyes and I started to cry. The wolf leapt out at me when another smashed it to the ground. The red eyed wolf had a rough black coat while I couldn't see the wolf that attacked it. Its fur seemed to shimmer to blend in with the dark foliage. It was bigger then the black wolf. It tossed it side to side growling with its teeth bared and neck straightened out. Finally the black dog ran off and the shimmer wolf stared at me. My eye began to focus on it. But not my green one...
