As I walked in to the classroom I could see her. Her dark brown hair and hazel eyes staring at me. I can see that she going introduce herself to me
"Hello my name is..."The alarm rings and I wake up suddenly out of a deep dream. I wake up to sound of my older sister Yelena gossiping on the phone to her best friend Waverly. I jump in the shower, when I usually jump in the shower it s just quick and i'm out , but this time it felt different, like i was one with the water. I have never felt that sensation before , I felt so powerful like the water was running through my veins ,like I could control it. I could have sworn there was a point where I could hear the water speak to me . I quickly got out of the shower and back to my room but I quickly realized that my sister wasn't there in the room anymore.
"Maya, Maya"
I could hear someone calling my name and I assumed it was Yelena calling me to hurry up so I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs calling out Yelena's name and telling her that I'm coming. I reach downstairs and I don't see Yelena but I see my mom.
"Maya come on ill take you to school your sister left ten minutes ago"
"No mom I literally heard her calling me from upstairs" I say.
"Sweetie are you okay , do you have a fever?"I quickly push my mom's hand away.
"No mom I fine I don't wanna stay home, it's the first day of highschool"
"Okay sweetie hurry up and get in the car so we can be on time" she says with a smile knowing that it's just my "teenage" hormones raging. As soon as we pulled up to the school there a was a faded smell of Carrot juice the type Yelena always made on Sundays. I thought it was really weird to smell that because after my dad and brother went missing Yelena hasn't been too excited to make carrot juice and fried chicken.
Now when Yelena makes it Mom and I always look at each other and immediately know it taste like sadness.
"Mom do you smell that" I say with a growing smirk.
"Smell what sweetie" she said confused and out of it.
"You don't smell the-" I stopped because I know Mom is going to shut me down and make me feel like I'm totally out of my mind."Maya you gotta go or else you'll be late and I'm serious no walking in the halls and stuff in school"she said with a serious face.
Did I forget to mention that my record in middle school wasn't so great. I didn't flunk all my classes or was on drugs or anything like that but I hung out with the wrong people and got myself in a lot of trouble. So I could totally understand why she was so serious this morning. I gave my mom a kiss on the cheek.
"Love you mom, see ya later" I say sarcastically
"Love You More" she says
"Forever" I say
"And Always"she says driving off.
Walking up to the huge gates of George Valentino High School was a bit intimidating but I continued. I walked through a runway like hallway with everyone chatting, laughing and staring at me. I could see Waverly and Yelena chatting from the corner of my eye but something told me that she did not want to be bothered. Especially by me.I Finally found my way to the
principal's office and knocked on the door. All I here are fainted moaning and papers falling. So naturally, I knocked on the door louder."Helloo did you realize you had a new student coming today, you know first impressions are ev-"
