1. The Earthquake Demon

I was about six or seven years old when this dream occured. I woke up in my bed all alone and my mother wasn't next to me. I was scared so I stumbled over to the large window at the foot of the bed. I was up on the first floor, and I thought I could see my mother in the garden.

I looked outside and there, I saw my mother planting some flowers. I calmed down as soon as I saw her but then, IT HAPPENED!!

The room suddenly started shaking and I started crying. The air in the room suddenly turned thick. And I started crying for reasons unknown, which was strange because I never just randomly "burst into tears".

Instead of me thinking, "Oh god, MG! Earthquake! A real earthquake is happening right now! That's so cool! I mean, it's scary and all, but it's still so cool!", I started being all like, "MOMMY!!! WAAAAAAH!!!"

I was six. What were you expecting?

Then I realised something. There was no earthquake outside. Yes, there was no shakety-shake going on outside. The earth was perfectly calm and my mother was jovially planting tulips.

The earthquake was happening inside the house. More specifically, the room was shaking.

I suddenly got this sinking feeling in my stomach. You know that feeling of pure terror you get when your parents go, "Honey, can you come here for a second?" Like, they probably are asking you to turn on the lights, but you still think, "Oh crud, they found out about that F on my Maths test."

You know that feeling? Good, because that happened to me. I started feeling this aura of pure evil fill the room and I went hysterical.

Now, you should know that I was constantly looking out the window, because six year old me thought that staring at my mother would keep all the scary monsters away from me. God, I was so pure and innocent back then.

Now, when I turned back to look at the room, I definitely wasn't expecting to see this giant shadow of a demon on the wall. You didn't either, did you, reader?

Well, I guess you sorta did, 'cause you, you know, read the title.... so...... yeah......

BUT STILL!

The shadow looked like it belonged to a man. A tall, thin and boney man with two horns on his head and a goatee.

Yes, a goatee, you heard that right. I don't know either. My mind, it just..... I honestly don't know. There you have it, folks! When I was six, I thought Satan had a goatee.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand, I screamed when I saw him and fell on my knees, curling into a little ball of fear. The shadow suddenly started cackling maniacally. That laugh was a laugh of pure evil, and I was just shivering in the corner of the room. The laugh seemed to come from everywhere at the same time. It got louder and louder and louder, until....

I woke up.

Haha, what were you expecting? My mind's not that messed up.

....

Scratch that, it totally is.
