The Journey Actually Begins

This is it. I watch Eevee come out of her pokeball, My dreams are coming true. This is it. I smile. I smile with pure joy. I haven't been this happy before. Especially since my dad died. I look down at Eevee and I kneel down and open my arms. I am truly happy. A single tear rolls down my cheek onto my skirt.
Ash watches with a small smile he is trying to hide. Professor Oak does to. "You're beautiful." I say quietly breaking the silence. Eevee runs into my arms and I hug Eevee. I never want to let go. I close my eyes.

I walk out of the lab with Eevee in my arms still and I pet her. "We will be amazing friends." I whisper so only Eevee can hear. I walk down the side walk leading down to the road where I will continue my journey. I didn't get to ask Ash if we could accompany each other. I see a bunch of people crowding the end of the sidewalk onto the road. I stop to scan the crowd to look for my mom. She should be their. Ash reaches the crowd as I stop walking and continue to watch the crowd for my mom. I found her...
I run to her and hug her. I let go and back up. "I'll miss you mom. I hope I'll see you soon. Take care." I tell her. "Is that a Eevee?? I thought you could only get Bulbasaur, Charmander, And Squirtle? And who's that boy you were with? What's his name? My mother asks quickly. "Calm down mom. Yes it's Eevee, And yes Eevee isn't a starter, There were no pokemon left and the boy named Ash got the last one so the professor let me chose any pokemon thats not in it's evolved form. Ash and I are friends, We met when we were heading there to the lab. We're only friends." I say trying to answer any question my mom had. "Will you evolve Eevee? And who will you evolve Eevee into?" My mom asks. "It's all up to Eevee." I say petting and cuddling Eevee. "Good luck, Violet. Stay safe, I'll miss you. Don't forget to call." My mom says smiling. "Okay, Take care. I'll miss you to. Bye." I hug her one more time longer than the first time. I back away, Smile, And walk towards Ash who was waiting for me.
