"What a wonderful world we leave in!" Derek proclaimed as he walked down the street. Derek enjoyed his job as a mechanic, and loved to go to work every morning. "The cars just called to me, and I just had to help!" The cars called to him, and he just had to help I guess? When Derek got home, he plopped on his couch, and popped open a cold one. "Ahh, this is the life." Derek picked up his remote, and proceeded to turn on the T.V. His favorite show was on, Deal or no Deal. "I know he'll win the million this time, I just know it!" Long story short, the T.V. guy didn't win, but Derek was still hopeful for tomorrow. Derek changed the channel and came across an eerie government program.
"Since when has this existed?" Derek was interested, so he stayed. "Welcome!" The man on the T.V yelled. "It's time to announce this years sacrifices!" "Sacrifice's?" Derek was new to the country, so he's never heard of this. "Now, unless you have been living under a rock, every year, on September 6th, we sacrifice three men." "'This, of course, is done to please the Gods, in hope that they don't lay waste to our country..." "Well, ah, anyways, let's get on with our men of honor!"
"General Kanderos Ornof the US army, Carder Evans a cashier at Walmart, and Derek Sanchez a mechanic." Derek jaw dropped. "No, no this can't be! How... how." A loud knock came from Derek's door. Derek peered through his tiny peephole, revealing a tall man in a suit. "Derek, come out peacefully, or I will have to use force" he flashed his USP-S through the peephole. Derek accepted his fate, creaking open the door. Before he could finish opening the door, the man kicked it open, knocking down Derek. He struck Derek with the grip of his pistol, knocking him out. He then preceded to throw him in a bag labeled "Man of Honor".
