Garroth POV

I'm still not over the break up. It was devastating, getting broken up with on the first day of the year? Cruel. At least Aph was there to comfort me. She's a great best friend to have. And there have been rumors that Aaron is going to propose to her at Starlight! Isn't that so romantic! If only I was still with-
"Ugh! I still can't get him out of my head! Aaaaaph, what should I doooooo!"
"Stop being dramatic Garroth! Stay chill!"
"Hey, let's do something cliché! Let's see...Walking Dead? I think it's on Netflix, right?"
"Great idea Garroth! Come on, I'll get the tea and ice cream, you get the blankets?"
"Got it!"

This was such a hard break up okay, I have the right to do a cliché thing like eating ice cream and watching Netflix after a break up...I do it 'most every time! And especially after Laur and I's relationship got to the point where we told each other anything and everything ...I was devastated! At least Aph helped, a ton. She's the most best friend I could ever have.
To be completely honest...I was thinking of maybe proposing to Laur on Valentines. Guess that's not happening. I had even planned stopping by K's t-today..!
"Aph..."
"Yeah Garroth?"
"I-I-I was going to go shopping today. Ring sh-shopping. But-"
"Oh Garroth! Oh, I do not get why Laur did that to you! Ugh, is just call and- oh! Let's prank call him! That'll show him! Hahaha!"
"Great idea! Ooh...I know what we'll do...com'ere!"
" *whisper whisper whisper*"
"Aw yeah! My phone or yours?"
"Yours Aph. It'll work better that way hehehe!"

Laurence POV

I felt bad for Garroth. All I did was say I needed a break...and for a good reason too.

You see, I lost my job and felt time for a new career. I never saw myself taking this line of job but... Aph told me I'm actually pretty good!

After that one fanfic contest I'd gotten thinking, and got a wattpad account and...I kinda got lots of views or something? So...I'm going to be an official writer!

Buuut...
I have to go back to college.
So...I'd be away from Garroth so long... I might accidentally find someone new at a party or something. And I don't want our relationship to hold me back from this new life! Not that there is anything wrong with this one but, yeah.

Also...I got scared. In between Christmas and New Year...Garroth told me this

"Hey, wanna go to K's about a week before Valentines?"

I was scared that this meant...he wanted to...
Propose..?

But I can't! So I, uh, broke it up for now I guess?

"Hey, Aph..?"
"Laurence! You broke his heart! ...why?"
"I have good reason, okay! Hear me out...please. And don't tell Garroth!"
"Okay okay...I'll listen...and I won't tell. "
"Great! O-okay...sooo, I'm going back to college to pursue a writing career. Like you said I should. And I didn't want to see a long distance relationship break and...yeah. "
"Oh Laurence! It's OK! Buuut...may I plez tell Garroth! He'll understand! PLEAZE!"
"Ugh! Fine. "
"Good. Cuz we are having a sleepover and I put this call on speaker. "
"Wait, WHAT?! APHMAU!"
"Oops? Hahaha!"
"Ugh, its O-Kay. But still...Garroth, wh-why did you want me to come to K's with you..?"
"To. Pick. Out. A. RING. But I understand Laur. It's cool, we're cool. "
I smiled at that, "Thank you for your understanding! And Aph?"
"Yeah!"
"Can you move my shifts?"
"On it!"
"Thanks, your a great friend, you know that?"
"Yep! Buh-bye!"

I kind of feel sorry about how the plot is weirdly changing all the time but hey, I'm trying my best. Got that? K.
