Alice paced the room frantically, panic-stricken with the news she just received. Thoughts flew around her head, and it was safe to say they were anything but positive. She stopped, her shoulders tensing as the realization crept into her wide eyes. "Why are you telling me this?" Alice whispered, her eyes darting back and forth as the pieces fell together. She spun around to shoot him a glare filled with fire. "Why?" She repeated, her voice rising quickly. Everything grew silent except for the heavy breathing erupting from Alice's gaping mouth.
He calmly stood up, his mysterious figure still yet covered by a dark hoodie. All that could be seen was the devious smile gradually taking form on the disturbing feature he called a face. "Because," the man rasped, "You are the only one left."

Alice awoke the next morning to a rainy, dreary day. Her mind stayed closed off from remembering anything until she took one look at her phone screen and nearly exploded.
"Dangerous games can be fun you will see, but
every time you scream, the less time there will be."
The only thing she could manage to do was blink and remain frozen in a sitting position. The weather outside reflected what she felt on the inside. Hopeless. Alice knew very well this wasn't a dream, nor was this the first time to occur. "Just a bit longer," she whispered to herself, "And then it'll all be over."
