Nathan Smith woke up.  He was thirteen with golden-brown hair.  He was average height and had an IQ well over genius.  He stood up while wiping of the dirt that had matted his grayish sweatshirt.  He looked around bewildered.  He was standing on a planet no bigger than a football field in diameter, but had gravity that was much like Earth’s.  He pace all of the way around the orange-red planet, but found nothing.  Instinctively he started to dig down into the planet.  The soil was sandy, but did not cave in as he dug.  Less than a foot down, Nathan came across water.  It was so clear and fresh, that it was almost invisible.  ‘How could the amount of water be proportionally massive to Earth?’  Nathan thought to himself.  Suddenly the water funneled up and splashed against a planet above them that Nathan hadn’t noticed.  As the water receded to this new planet, the other planet’s gravity began to weaken.  The water began to flood the other planet faster and faster, and eventually Nathan also began to feel himself lift toward the other planet.  Then Nathan went flying, face first at the new planet.  Finally, the first one began to lurch forward.  It sped up and crash into the new planet.  Nathan barely rolled out of the way to doge the old planet.  It dissolved into the water.  When Nathan stood up, the water was up to his heals all around the new planet.  This new planet was about the same size, was made of the same material, and had about half the mass as the first planet which meant half the gravity.  Although, the sand was more of a purple hue this time.  Nathan looked ahead.  There was a line of these same planets stretching forward as far as Nathan could see.  They were all kinds of colors; some that not even Nathan could name.  He hopped across them for hours without tiring, until he came to a blue-green planet.  He hopped up and then was jerked down by this planets massive gravity.

Nathan struggled, but could not get up against the gravity.  He turned his head, which was starting to ache, and noticed a flying ship heading toward him.  He took no notice of it and closed his eyes.
