Chapter 2

So, here's what dragon kin is. Dragon kin is the power-kent that allows one to turn into a humanoid dragon. In order to do that, they need to befriend a dragon. There's a fire dragon, an electric dragon, a rock dragon, name any element and there will be a dragon for it. In order to befriend a dragon, you have to defeat them in a fight. Sometimes they have tamers, which makes it more difficult because there's more of a strategy in the fight. Once you defeat them, they turn into a jello-like orb. You have to swallow the orb. Once the orb is swallowed, you can turn yourself into a humanoid dragon and once you do, you gain the abilities of that dragon. Just so you know, dragon taming is not a power-kent, it's an occupation. That has no pay. Another thing, when I said I have gotten no where with dragon-kin yet, I technically have... In order to have any power-kent you have to have the first stage or power, in this case, it's stage. And the easiest stage to get is actually quite challenging. You must breed a bird with a lizard for them to give birth to a dragon. It's already hard enough to breed a bird and a dragon but there's also the 50% chance of a feathered lizard being hatched instead. But there is the relief of, if you're there when the dragon is born, you can easily befriend them. With this stage though, I don't get any special abilities. All I get is claws, wings, armored, some-what fire resistant scales, sharp teeth, enheightened strength, and enheightened senses, besides touch, which come with every stage. Why am I telling you this, you may ask and the answer to that is that this year my goal is to befriend every single dragon.

"RING RING RING" went my alarm right before I threw a shuriken at it. As soon as I woke up, I zoomed to the kitchen and prepared a pancake, eggs and bacon breakfast for four, ate one of the breakfasts, brushed my teeth, and went deep into Heiwana Forest, which is behind the village, with excercise gear. I was going to train hard until Friday because on Friday, I will be going to Mount Abrasador to challenge the dragon tamer of the Fire Dragon. I spend monday through thursday doing 200 push ups,  200 sit ups, 200 pull ups, and 50 mile runs. Once Friday comes, I make a nutrish meal to give me lots of energy and fly to Mount Abrasador. Around Mount Abrasador is a cylinder shaped wall with a volcano peak a bit out. I fly down to where I see an arch shaped walk in and a trail. I get out of my dragon stage and walk through the walk in and as soon I'm inside, the heat is immensive. The huge gourd of water on my back makes the trail circling up to a platform intensively crueling. A fourth up the trail, I take a large break and douse myself with water. This continues half way more up the trail but once I meet the end of the trail, I'm dragging myself to the tamer. In the excitement of finally making it, I hop up. "I am one of the dragon kin!" I eagerly yell, pointing at the tamer, " And I'm here to challenge you and your dragon!".

The tamer looks down, scratches his neck, and points to a guy flying through the exit. In an empathetic voice, he says "See that guy? He just befriended Kaen.". I assumed Kaen was the dragon and asked "Can't Kaen just teleport to you or something and that guys still has the powers?".

"Nope. That guy just took in Kaen, so how is Kaen gonna come back with him still having the powers..."

"So how am I supposed to get the abilities?"

"Well the only way is by killing that guy but Kaen is gonna come back here so you're gonna have to fight me and Kaen too."

Thoughts began to race through my mind. I don't wanna kill anybody. But if I don't kill him how am I supposed to acheive my goal? Please let there be another way! And then I got it. I can try beating him half to death! I immediately flew out of the volcano, chasing the man. He too was flying in his new stage so I took out my katana and flew down from over him with a slash. Scales flew off of him and he first looks at the scales flying off then at me. " So you're here to kill me?," the man said with a British accent, "You think I'm going down without a bloody fight?"

I take off at him with a scaled fist and he comes at me with a enflamed, scaled fist.
