I didn't even notice we had arrived home till the car came to a complete halt before the house stairs. I got off the car and looked purposefully at our family house.
Where right now all my demons were waiting for me. Not all of them but quite a handful of them. But I had no choice other than to face them.
I walked up the stairs to the lounge where I knew my parents, three brothers and my sister were. Before I could even see their faces I heard there voices and trust me they weren't even close to being any kind of melody. They were loud, screeching annoying voices you could ever hear and they were definitely arguing about something interesting. But hey they were my family and that old guy above gave me a fine one. Though they could be a pain in the Ass sometimes, or most of the r times but I loved them all the same. Even at times like this.
I stood by the glass door looking at all of them with a smile playing on my lips. My dad had one hand draped over his beautiful wife, my mum, my sister was seated between my two elder brothers, Jeremy and Jason on a gray couch. My sister,Amelia looked up for a moment and my gaze locked with hers.
"Reece my favorite brother"Amelia lunged herself at me. I hugged her with fondness and the love we have always shared.
'Excuse me'both Jeremy and Jason said at the same time,
"well excuse me for loving my brother who is not an asshole like the rest.
'language Amelia language'my mum said and Amelia intern rolled her eyes. Without mum noticing of course.
I went to where my mum and dad were sitted and kissed my mums cheeks and greeted my dad. I was really hoping that the topic of me taking over as the CEO wouldn't be brought up.
'so baby brother have you made up your mind...the next CEO? Jeremy my eldest brother said and everyone looked at me. Here we go again.
'You guys know that I really love my studio and photography. I can't be the CEO of Dads company?!'I said looking at my dad especially.
I don't really know why I didn't want to do it. Besides the point of me having my own businesses I just didn't want that much responsibility.
'Reece c'mon you know you took all of Dads genes for business and his health is also failing, you got to do this for him, for us. He can't go to the office in his condition and none of us are good as you are'jason the most sensible and who also a doctor reasoned out with me.
I knew Dads condition was failing but I had my own doubts. What if I don't do that well?what if I mess up everything? There were so many what if that I couldn't really answer them.
'son you will be doing your old man a great favour by doing this, take the seat. You are the best and I know you won't disappoint' Dad looked at me pleading with his eyes.
Damn!Now for the announcement everyone has been waiting for.

'I knew my brother isn't a coward, now everyone pay your dues'Amelia said smiling and really excited.u'd think she is 17 but all that enthusiasm came from a 22year old woman.
I saw everyone reach into their pockets. What!
You guys made a bet on me' i asked as I came to realize what was happening.

'We r sharing that money with you Lil sis i said lunging myself at her. But damn that girl was strong. I guess that comes from living with three big brothers and sometimes cousins of the male gender.
We stayed up late just laughing and talking about everything there was to talk about.
Later in the night everyone retreated to their own room.
I went to bed thinking about one girl I yearned to see again.
