Mind Boggling Ch. 3

  As we walked to the market, I looked at Elizabeth. She was awfully quiet and acting really peculiar. I didn't really know what to do or say, so I just kept to myself.

**Elizabeth's POV**

  He's a really odd boy... I wonder why he doesn't talk much. I guess he's still stunned over what happened. I looked at his blonde hair and icy blue eyes. He looked tired.

  "So whatcha wanna do?" I asked him, showing a smile.

  "Eh whatever you want." He replied gloomily. I looked at him and shrugged.

  We went to a restaurant, and ate there. I was happy to find that I had some money in my pockets. After that, we walked around some more and that's when I saw him. That dark looming shadow that always seemed to take control of my life. He looked at me and nodded fircely. I swallowed and nodded back.

**Maximillian's POV**

She seemed distant now. She always seemed to stare into space.

  "Are you okay?" I asked.

  "Yeah, I just saw something really unique and I've been thinking about it." Elizabeth replied, smiling.

  I smiled back. "So how old are you?"

  "Er, I don't really remember... maybe 16?" She said, thoughtfully. She was very spacey and it made me wonder.

  "I'm 18. Like it matters though." I said rather nonchalantly.

  We walked around more, and we finally went to an inn.

  "So, do you live here, Elizabeth?" I asked, looking around.

  "Lizzy, please. And no, I move around." She replied annoyed, but sweetly. I wonder what got into her.

**Elizabeth's POV**

  I didn't want to do what I had to. I didn't want to meet him.

  "Um, well, I'm going to get something for us to eat, you can stay here and make yourself at home." I said to Max, putting on a smile. He smiled back and I left. As I came back to the marketplace, I saw the familiar shadow.

  "What do you want, Jazper?" I said, looking up at his wavy brown hair and cold discolored eyes. One was light blue and the other was a dark green. I always thought he looked like a cat which made me smile.

  "You know what." He said annoyed, "Don't mess up this time." He bent down and kissed me gently on the cheek.

  "Bleh!!" I backed up, "Don't do that, Jaz!"

  He laughed, "Why are you so sensitive?"

  "Because you keep pushing me," I say annoyed.

  "Oh come on, lighten up." Jaz said.

  I looked at him as I paid for the groceries.

  "Do I really have to do this?" I asked, looking up.

  "Yes, why are you so nervous?" He asked, putting his hand on my head.

  Because I don't want to fall for him and loose you, I thought.

**Maximillian's POV**

She came back quickly, and had a happy expression on her face. It made me happy to see her smile. For some reason I felt attached to her and I didn't know why.
