ZANDER
SOMETHING WAS wrong. I didn't know if it was because my mother kept calling for me or the fact that my wolf felt that my mate was scared. My heart pounds against my ribcage, trying to break free.
I rushed into the bathroom, to find my mother and mate with each other, my mom holding Bliss so tightly, as to protect her or something. My heart was plumping loudly in my ears that I almost jumped at the first sound of it.
"Ma," I whispered, "What's going on?" I swallowed harshly. I couldn't take my eyes off her and when I did, it was to briefly look at my mom who's eyes were glossy with tears.
She wiped at her eyes and placed a hand on her back and slowly rubbed at it, "It's okay, baby. Shh." My mother looked up at me and mouthed out to me, "She's pregnant." And I gasped, luckily it wasn't too loudly but still.
I was shocked, worried of course but mainly shocked. I reached for Bliss, who sniffed as her eyes held so much disappointment in them. I held her, her warm wrapped around me creating an unbearable warmth. I hushed her as I smelled her hair as she cried into my shoulder.
"Baby, it's okay." I muttered over and over. "I'm here, I'm right here." She shuttered at the sound of my voice and inhaled my scent. I sighed as I calmed her down and then her soft light snores filled my ears as I carried her back into our room and lied her down on her bed.
I turned back to my mother, who now stood yo her full height and looked up to me and was shaking. "What do you mean she's pregnant?" I nearly yell, Bliss stirred in her slumber.
"Well, we talked for a bit, after the fact that I accused her to be, y'know pregnant and all." I gave her a look and she sighed, "She was puking all over the toilet seat if that wasn't the reason, hell if I knew. But, I asked her and after she cried and calmed down a bit she admitted that she was. But, I grew curious."
I raised my eyebrows, "Well I understand that, seeing as I am also curious as to that. Did she happen to tell you?"
She thought for a moment, "In a way, she only said that he did this to her. So I could only assume that -"
"It was that man that murdered her father." We spoke in usion, our voices cold and detached. We shared a long look at each other, she was very shaky and scared.
Then we looked at her. I gulped as I stared at her sleeping form, my wolf growled at the fact that she was carrying a child that wasn't ours.
I tried to calm him but I couldn't, I was mad for the same damn reason.
