My one and only

Chapter 3

I slowly open my eyes and I can't see a thing, it's so dark. It takes a moment before I realize I'm in my new bedroom. I must have been really tired because I over slept I don't even know what time it is right now. I try to find my way to the light at the opposite side of the room and I stumble on something and bang my head on the floor. "Damn it!!" I get up and finally open the light, I grab my head and sigh, outch, it hurts I'm gonna look like a troll for my first day here. URGH! My suitcase are on the floor that's why I stumbled on them. I notice I'm alone in the room, I don't know where Rosie went. I grab my phone and see 5:23am, I went to bed too early yesterday and now I can't sleep. It will give me time to prepare for today. I don't know what I'm going to do, maybe I'll try to meet new people and learn the way to my classroom so I don't get lost for my first class. The party, I remember I almost agreed to go to a party today. Maybe I should go and make friends, it's my chance to meet new people. "Come on Amy you can do this", I'm saying to myself.

I open my bag, take a towel and my toiletry bag and I head towards the public shower. One of the cons of living on campus is the public shower. I hate it and I haven't had my first shower yet. When I come back in the room after I showered, I dress up with black jeans, a t-shirt and my white Converse shoes. I straigten my hair and curl them a little, as always because they are too crazy and I need to do something with them everytime I get out of the shower. My hair are long and the colour is a light chestnut with blonde highlights and they're kind of pretty when I do something with them. After I finished my hair, I put on some mascara and I'm ready.  The bruises on my head is not so bad, no one's going to notice. I start unpaking my luggage and put all of my clothes in the drawers and some decoration on my desk and on the wall on top of my bed. It's now 9 am and I'm finishing, Rosie walk into the room and sit on her bed "Hi, how are you? It's pretty what you did with that wall" she says while pointing my pictures and decorations. She looks so exsausted. "Hi, I'm great I over slept last night though, and thank you. How are you?" I responded. "I didn't sleep well last night but I will take a little nap and I'll be ready for tonight!!" She says with a big smile on her face. How can she be so energic and stunning after a bad night of sleep. "You're still coming to the party tonight right?" She adds before I said anything. "Sure, it will be a good opportunity to meet new people." "Great! Thank you so much!" She says while she gives me a big hug. "Now I'm going to sleep, you can wake me up in 2 hours we'll go buy our outfits for tonight!" She adds.
