<pre style="line-height: 21px; white-space: normal; color: #444444; font-size: 15px; text-align: start;">Annie walked into the little music shop and felt instantly like she found her home. A kind looking old man stood behind the counter talking with a girl that looked to be around Annie's age. She stood behind her waiting to talk to the man but she couldn't help but hear that the girl in front of her wanted the apartment as well. Annie felt crushed when he told her that the apartment was hers so Annie decided to leave. When she reached the door he heard the man calling to her.
"Excuse me miss can I help you?"
"Oh no sir I was just going to talk about your apartment but I heard that you just rented it out so I don't need anything."
"Well what do you know this young lady told me to keep it open because she wanted a roommate to help split the cost."
"It's true, I can't afford an apartment by myself forever. I would love it if you would be my roommate."
"Really?"
"Of course, we are about the same age and we both probably can't afford an apartment forever. This will be fun."
"I would like that too."
"Then it's settled." He took out two keys "these are yours if you ever need anything just come find me. I live outside of town but I'm here until 7 each night."
"Thank you sir."
"Please just call me Bert."
"Thank you Bert."
"I'm Brandy Hamilton what's your name?"
"Annie Price."
"I think that we're going to become good friends Annie."
Annie thought to herself. Two friends in one day, New York isn't looking so bad after all. </pre>
