We needed a way to California, the first weather anomaly area, also the third largest. Our parents agreed to take use to Santa Rosa then we're on our own. We'll probably steal a truck from the abandoned fire department. But uh, I didn't know hot wiring.
THREE DAYS LATER...
There we were, Santa Rosa, CA. It was beatiful there. A slight ocean mist blew across our faces, no anomalies yet, for once we had an excuse to relax. A mile away, was the coastline,
I could see it from there, but there were many thin trees guarding it.Later, we found the newest truck in the lot, and looked up hot wiring cause none of us knew how to do it.
The steps were actually pretty simpleEnter the car. ...
Remove the plastic cover on the steering column. ...
Find the wiring harness connector. ...
Pull aside the battery, ignition, and starter wire bundle. ...
Strip about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of insulation from the battery wires and twist them together
After the hot wiring, the truck worked fine at least well enough to get us to L.A. 400 miles away. Maybe we'd see Kyan there, we all missed him, he was sometimes to Hollywood for us, but still a good friend.
There we were, ready to start the vehicle even thought we all knew it may have cost us our lives. Remorsefully, we started down the road...
