A woman stared into the distance. Her black hair was now neatly out of her face. No one could tell what she was looking at, but she stared just the same. A man came up and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Is something wrong, my love?"

"Don't call me that." She sighed as she pushed the man's hand away. Her gaze never faltered as she spoke. "You know as well as I that your heart does not truly belong to me."

"Cleopatra, don't be so cold. You're acting like Helena."

Cleopatra spun around and gave Rome a slight glare. "Helena is your wife. Yet, here you are, sharing my bed for months now! Do you realize how hard it is to call myself her friend when I'm sleeping with you?! It's one or the other, you can't have us both!"

((A/N: Sorry that this is so short, I just wanted to show Ancient Egypt's side of the story of what happened with Rome.))
