Jimin wasn't usually so worried about his birthday. He loved having his mom cook him all his favorite dishes and sitting together with his family to eat; he loved his little brother trying to convince him to share whatever gifts he got that year, getting more creative as time went by. He loved being taken care of by everyone around him.

This year, though, his mind was swirling with concerned thoughts revolving mostly around one person: Min Yoongi. He wasn't worried that his boyfriend would act in an inappropriate way, or that his family and friends wouldn't like him – he knew for a fact they would; but it would be Yoongi's first time officially meeting everyone Jimin considered the most important in his life: his family and his two best friends.

Deep down he knew there was no need for him to stress about it so much but still he couldn't help the rush of anxiety that bothered him for the days before the weekend. His birthday was actually on Thursday but Yoongi wasn't in town so they postponed their little celebration until Saturday and Jimin breathed a sigh of relief when the day finally arrived and he could get it all over with.

"I can't believe we'll finally meet the mysterious Yoongi." Taehyung said as he stepped inside with Jungkook following close behind.

"You've met him." Jimin frowned as he watched them take their shoes off.

"Through a car window, hyung." Jungkook retorted. "It doesn't count."

"Just please don't embarrass me." Jimin pretty much whined as he blocked their way from the kitchen where Yoongi was currently waiting for him to get back.

Taehyung scoffed. "When have we ever?"

Jimin sighed as they made their way around him and walked the few steps left to the next room. He sucked in a breath when Yoongi looked up from his phone and noticed a slight note of recognition in his eyes; what Jimin didn't see was the mischievous glint in Taehyung's eyes as he approached.

"So... You're the sugar daddy." Taehyung said with a grin and dodged when Jimin went to slap him on the head.

"No." Yoongi answered calmly. "I'm the boyfriend." Jimin smiled despite the deep blush tinging his cheeks.

"He's good." Taehyung nodded approvingly. "Keep him."

Jimin rolled his eyes at his friend's attitude and let his fingers intertwine with Yoongi's. "I'm planning on it." There was a light squeeze at his hand and he stepped closer.

"But don't hurt him." The words were directed at Yoongi this time and Jimin knew Taehyung was serious as he said them. "Or Jungkookie will break your nose."

Jungkook, who had been quiet the whole time, merely made a sound of agreement and raised his eyebrows. Jimin shook his head but he was still smiling, the scene unfolding in front of him making his heart warm.

"Don't have to worry about that, kid. Jimin's happiness is my top priority." At that, Yoongi pulled said boy into his arms and placed a gentle kiss on his hair.
