This starts with a boy named Taiko Kelate. Taiko lives in Hoenn, Petalburg city. Taiko was a school kid. He is a really smart student who likes video games but always gets bullied in school because of his smartness.
Taiko was devastated when his family dies at the age of 5 from corrupted people who kill people even the innocent ones for no reason. His torture included watching his parents getting hit in the head with pokemon using swift along with watching his sister and brother getting beaten up with spiked bats by grunts and getting squeezed by bind from tentacruels.
Taiko sees the leader and says "Damn you! Why do you have to kill everyone I Love! Now I don't have anyone!"
The leader ignores what he said and says "Any last words?"
Taiko gets hit by a bat just because the leader spares him. Taiko was in a coma for a year and nobody notices him. The professor finds an unconscious Taiko and immediately brought him to safety. The professor brings him to a house near his lab it almost looks abandoned because it has ripped of wallpaper walls and a damaged ceiling and floor. Taiko wakes up from the coma on the ground and finds himself in the Kanto region in the house.
The professor exclaims "Thank Arceus that you're alive!"
Taiko asks panically "Why am I here? Who are You?Where am I? Where are my parents?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!"
The professor introduces himself. He says his name is Professor Oak. The professor decides to give him the bad news. He almost faints in depression. He feels like everyone in the world hates him.
Taiko says while looking to the heavens "Why Arceus?!? Why does it always have to be me!?!?!?!?"
The professor says "You are fine now... You have to live here for now. I know that you can't live like this but please just take care of yourself."
Taiko works hard for money so he can buy food and water. He goes training in a nearby dojo to leaf martial arts and kendo (N/A Kendo is sword fighting with bamboo blades) just in case if something like that happens again.
He checks his shorts that he always wears for something. He finds a picture of his family. He felt some tears run down his face. After that, he hangs it up on a picture frame and looks at it every morning.
4 Years Later...
Tomorrow is Taiko's 10th birthday and he is exited because he is going to receive a pokemon. He really wanted to receive a pokemon. He wants to travel around the regions. He wants to meet new people on his way also.
Taiko walks to the lab to see if he can receive his first pokemon. He opens the door to the lab. "Professor? Are you here?" He asks. The professor isn't there but he sees Leaf. "Hey Leaf!" He says happily with a big grin on his face, "It's my birthday today!"
To explain, they were friends since he moved here.
"Well, happy birthday Taiko!" She says "I'm guessing that you're looking for Professor huh, well he isn't here. He's doing some pokemon research in Route 1." He says "Alright, I'm going to find the professor then!" "Well then, don't forget about the tall grass! There might be wild pokemon."
You start walking down Route 1 but then suddenly you see Professor Oak being chased by some pidgeys. "Help! Taiko! I'm being chased by pidgeys," He exclaims while running "There are pokeballs in the bag I dropped! Get one and save me!"
You reach for a random pokeball and it sends out an Eevee. He froze in thoughts because his favorite pokemon was Eevee and when his mother got one from the wild (A/N Female Eevee), he didn't want to evolve it because he loved it so much. He cared for her like his own child even though he is
He felt a tear go down his cheek while he remembers that moment.
"Umm little help!" He got caught off, "Professor being chased here!" The professor exclaims while still running away from the pidgeys.
He snaps out of his trance. "Eevee use swift!" He commands it. Stars came shooting from its mouth at scored direct hits on the pidgeys. They flew away not having any trouble to do with it.
"Thank you for saving me Taiko! If you weren't there, I would've been eaten by now!" The professor says, "Come in my lab, this isn't a safe place to talk to because I might get attacked by pidgeys again."
You enter his lab and see Leaf and another person in the lab. The professor says "Welcome to my lab! We do pokemon research here! I have been researching pokemon all my life!" "This is my grandson Gary! He also seeks to be a pokemon trainer, you may be rivals." "Hah! You look weak" Gary says mockingly, "Let's have a pokemon battle to see if you're worth my level!"
Taiko, showing no emotions, takes on the challenge. "Sure, but don't cry if you lose." He fires back.
"Alright! That settles it. We'll have a pokemon battle outside the lab!" Professor Oak says.
