I looked out the window, with my headphones in and music on loud, here it goes another new home. Now, I know what youre thinking, that this may bejust another story about a new girl to a new town but you'd be happy to know it is most deffinetly not that. As we pulled in, I seemed to reckognize the familiar gates, the long driveway, it couldnt be. It was. Reaching the top of the driveway, I looked up and saw the large white house with many windows, the beach in the background just as I had remembered. Speechless, my parents turned around to see my face. "We bought it back!" I could not believe it. I was back at my hometown, thank goodness I don't have to worry about that whole being a new kid and starting all over thing. I can just be myself with all of my old bestfriends, this was going to be great.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kennedy Finnely, I'm a junior in highschool and since I was 12 I was home-schooled because I - now stay with me here - I sail competitively. For the majority of my adolescent years I was training as a 'prospective olympic athlete', until finally I was set to go to the Olympics when I was hit in the head with the boom and knocked offboard and into the water. I was unconsious and turns out I have a very bad concussion, I got my memory back but for a while there I had amnesia. Now I'm ready to be back in school, but I have to take a year off of any athletic activity just to make sure I'm okay. So basically, no training, meaning no summer Olympics and now I'll have to wait ANOTHER four years. It's going to be rough but I'm in it for the long haul.

She curled her golden hair, dusted eye shadow on her lids to compliment her light green eyes, put on her Ralph Lauren sweater and went downstairs to wait for her parents. As they were walking out the door she checked the mirror and almost didn't recognize herself, not realizing how long its actually been since she got ready this nice.
