This is unbelievable. This is literally unbelievable, I got invited to a wedding. Not just any wedding, my BFF whom I had since high school but lost contact to since college happened, who has invited me to her wedding up in the middle of no where. Up in some ski resort she probably came across in the her engagement at Kodiak Valley. Never heard of the place, but apparently according to my Google maps I'm going the right way.

It's the middle of winter, full of clumpy snow, slick roads I fear to drive on but there's no going back now, temperatures I don't want to be in, and winds howling through the air make you want hid under our sheets. I hate winter. Not all of it, just when it gets too severe like up here in the mountains you always worry an avalanche will start being up here.

Continuing on the road ahead of me I stayed cautious once I saw warning 'ice on road' sign from earlier, but the a-hole behind kept honking his damn horn at me. This guy was really grinding my gears so I stuck my head out my window "HEY A-HOLE, GO AROUND! GO AROUND!" only to responded to another honking so I flipped him off. Man this wedding better worth coming too after this is all over.

Seeing up ahead on an turn 'round the mountain roads, I saw in the distance the town where the ceremony was taken place. 'Thank god final' I thought out loud.

Now pulling into the town, I heard briefly that the town almost closed down because the success of people coming in for "Winter-fest" I heard was barely there anymore

Now pulling into the town, I heard briefly that the town almost closed down because the success of people coming in for "Winter-fest" I heard was barely there anymore. Even the locals didn't want to be there. But apparently after a few years ago its tables got turned and now it's booming again. Man, what would looked like back in the day when skiers and people coming up to have a good time. But aside from that I need to maneuver my way up to the resort.

After getting directions from strangers on the sidewalk and following the signs for the wedding up ahead, I finally made the ski resort. Parking finally after hours of driving that weather I can finally rest for a bit. I sighed in relieve but now it's getting cold now, time to make a run for it. I  grabbed my bag from the back seat and ran to the door towards warmth and friends. Once I went through those doors the sound exciting squeals rang through the lobby. Source was from none other than the bride herself.
