I was eating my salad in silence, feeling my mother's eyes on me the whole time. "So, how's soccer going?" my mother asks, putting her fork down. I stop mid chew, my eyes practically popping out of my head. I swallow hard before finally making eye contact with her and pulled on a fake smile. I totally forgot that I told her I joined a soccer team... well shit. She used to call me all the time and asked to do "mother- daughter things" and I would always tell her that I was working out. She started getting a feeling that I was hiding something so when she confronted me, I kind of told I joined a soccer team. Thinking about it now, that wasn't smart of me.

"It's okay, you know... soccer stuff" I said. She rolled her eyes at me and cut another piece of her steak. "I want to see you play, silly!" she laughs out loud, covering her mouth with her napkin. I drop my fork onto the floor out of shock, causing a clutter sound to spread across the restaurant. People that were sitting close look at me and shake their heads. I go to pick it up but another hand snatches it away. I look up to see none other than, Louis. "I'll go get you a new fork," he just struts away, with my sad fork in hand. I turn back to my mom to see her smirking at me. I give her a confused look. "So, how does that boy know you?" she asks, wiggling her eyebrows at me. I roll my eyes and wait for my fork to come so I can eat and leave.

*le time skip*

I was walking to my car when all of the sudden I hear my name being called. I turn around to see... my mother. I groan and meet her half way. "I just wanted to give my baby another hug before I leave." she says smiling at me and bringing me into a bear hug. I hug her back, we stay like that for a little until her phone goes off. "Work is calling, gotta go. I love you sweetie, happy birthday again!" she starts walking away, accepting the call. I turn around and unlock my car, getting in.

I get into my apartment and go directly to my bedroom to get changed. I put on a pair of black leggings with a blue shirt and black hoodie over it since it's cold out. I quickly look at the time to see that's it's nine thirty, great. I grab my phone along with my earbuds, and walk out the door. I start my long walk to the park.

There is no one at the park, well considering it's like 10 at night now that explains it. I sit down and take a sip of my water, looking around just taking everything in. I hear rustling behind me so I turn around, nothing. It's prolly just the wind. I stand up and start running again, listening to "November" by Sleeping with Sirens. All of the sudden, my phone gets hit out of my hand, earbuds ripped out of my ears. I turn around and I'm face to face with the person that I never thought I would be faced with again...

I start running as fast as I could, quickly grabbing my phone. I turn around and see their face, the face that has given me nightmares for years now. "BECCA!!" I look up to see Louis standing there, looking at me. His face was confused but then quickly turned to concerned. I feel as though I'm going to pass out. Little dots start dancing into my vision. I feel myself fall, feeling a huge rush of pain to my head as I collide with the concrete.
