Blayre's P.O.V.:
I inched my way along the length of the wall. My breathing was coming in short panicked gasps. The knife was clenched tightly in my fist as I followed the labrynth of hallways.
A door suddenly swung open a few feet in front of me, causing me to duck into the closest closet near me. I shut the door behind me as quickly as possible. I held my breath and pressed my ear to the door, hoping and praying that they hadnt seen me.
Footsteps thundered past my hiding place. I assumed they were heading to my prison cell, I then realized that I had to get out of here. FAST.
I waited until the coast was clear and then bolted out of the closet and up the stairs. I screamed as something streaked past me. It stopped in front of me and growled at me, baring its sharp canines. My heart was pounding in my ears as I waited for it to attack me. It seemed to shake itself, for it suddenly sat on its haunches and stared at me.
I sent it a questioning look, but it just snorted softly, like a chuckle. I relaxed and reached a hand out to stroke its fur. It suddenly jumped up, startling me which caused me to fall onto my butt.
I whimper as pain radiated through my body. It rushed over to me and began to nuzzle me with its muzzle. I patted its head trying to calm it down, and reassure it. It began to lick my face, from my jaw to my eye, causing me to giggle and squirm.
It gave a wolfy bark then turned serious, it prodded me gently with its nose trying to get me to stand up. When I had gotten to my feet it grabbed my torn sleeve in its mouth and began to tug me back outside.
Anthony's P.O.V.:
We had reached a small, rundown warehouse. Blayre's scent was everywhere, making me hopeful and angry at the same time. I led the way into the building, racing towards the strongest trail scent of Blayre's.
I raced towards a door that led down to the basement. Blayre. Blayre. Blayre. Blayre. That's all that was running through my mind.
As I pulled open the door, I spotted a scraggly, lean, and dirty person slowly making there way slowly up the stairs. I growled and snapped at the person, thinking they had something to do with Blayre being taken. They shrank back from me and sent me a small questioning look.
It look so ridiculious on them that I snorted out a loud barking laugh. They seemed to relax, they slowly stretched out a hand and stroked my fur softly. I stilled under their hand as I felt sparks dance across my skin. BLAYRE!!!!! My wolf howled. I jumped causing her to fall over onto her backside.
She let a small whimper of pain escape her, causing me to wince. I hated to see her in pain. To try and reassure her I walked closer to her, I then licked her from her jaw to her eye, relishing in the sparks that tingled down my spine from the small contact.
She slowly eased herself up until she was standing in front of me. I lightly grabbed her ripped sleeve and began to tug her out the door to the main floor.
She slowly limped forward, letting squeaks of pain escape every few steps. It hurt me to think that she was in so much pain, but I had to get her out of here before I could help her heal.
As we left the building I heard a loud yell of outrage, that had me pushing Blayre foward faster with my nose trying to get her away. She cried out as she fell to her hands and knees. Matthew suddenly burst through the door and raced towards us. I bared my teeth and bent into a defensive position in front of Blayre, trying to protect her weakened form.
He shifted and snapped his large canines at me, declaring that he could beat me if he wanted to. I just sank lower onto my haunches and growled deeper, warning him as well.
He sprang towards me with his teeth bared and his mind set to kill. I met him in the middle and ended up raking his back with my claws. He gave a howl and began to run away. Coward.
I didnt let him get too far before I took him down and snapped his neck. Dead. Satisfied I walked back to Blayre. I shifted into my human form and picked her up carefully. She smiled a small, weak smile while stroking my cheek. I nuzzled my face into her neck, sighing as her scent soothed me. She giggle and grabbed my chin. She dragged it forward making our lips meet.
I growled in the back of my throat as she put all of her feelings into it. I was suddenly kissing empty space as she had run behind a tree. I grimaced and made my way towards her slowly.
"Baby, Blayre, I'm never NEVER, going to hurt you. I love you too much to do that to you." She nodded with her eyes wide before she ran towards me and jumped into my arms.
"I love you too."
