Kylie just stared at the Pomeranian, her eyes becoming narrowed as Gidget's words seeped into her head. "I hate to break it to you, sweetheart, but Maxi-poo is my boyfriend." Gidget frowned and looked at Max. "Maxi-poo?"

The terrier gulped. "Yeah...we gave each other nicknames." Max's ears went down a little as he saw the slight tint of hurt in Gidget's eyes. "You never let me give you a nickname..."

"Yeah, but be-"

"Because he likes me more."

Gidget's head snapped back to the sassy terrier that was on her other side. "You be quiet. You have no business being here. Now go away."

Kylie stepped closer, barring her teeth as she eyed Gidget. The white Pomeranian stepped back, her body now shaking. She had never fought another dog before. Now next to Max, she gave him a scared look and in response, licked Gidget's cheek and stepped forward towards Kylie.

"Gidget's right Kylie," Max started, shielding Gidget from her view. "You need to leave."

Turning around, Kylie looked back over her shoulder to the male terrier. "The past has come back to you, Max. It's time you follow it."

Max scoffed as Kylie winked and jumped onto her platform which was only a foot away. The terrier opened his mouth, planning to say something to his girlfriend, but when he turned to look at her, she was gone. As he came inside the window to his apartment, Max spotted Gidget in the middle of the living room packing up her toys that she had brought over for them to chew on.

At first she had started on the sparkly shoe, and he had started on the squeaky hamburger.

Jumping from the window sill and onto the couch, Max watched her quietly. "Gidget? Are you mad?"

The Pomeranian looked at the terrier as she held the squeaky hamburger in her teeth. Max just stayed quiet as she stared at him.

Finally putting the toy down, she returned her gaze to her boyfriend.

"Hmm...what do you think, Max? Your ex girlfriend shows up right after you promise me that nothing would ever and could never tear us apart. What would you call that?"

Max sighed as he looked down with guilt. "Anger. But Gidg-"

"And what's even worse is that you had let her give you a nickname, but you wouldn't let me?"

"Well, I-"

"Not to mention when you saw her, your tail wagged even faster then when you ever see me..."

Max jumped off the couch, but Gidget passed him, heading to his open window.

"I gotta go. Bye, Max."

And with that, she was gone, leaving the terrier in utter silence.
