Chapter 1

Vanessa P.O.V.

Do you ever just have moments where you just want to bang your head against the wall? Yeah, I have always wanted to do that because of something very exciting. Here, let me tell you what happened.

It was a Friday evening when I decided to log onto my apple laptop and sign up for the X Factor, crazy right. If I do get accepted, I will not to my friends because what if I get denied and they laugh.

So today, Monday morning, I woke up, showered, dried my hair, then curled it. Then I put on a white long sleeve dress shirt, with a striped bow, my glasses, jewled sneakers, red plaid shorts, and of course my black suspenders.

I then left for school and I went with my friends. I have hung out with these dorks since kindergarden. So of course I'm gonna tell them(I don't want to but I can't keep secrets from them.)

"So guys I have some news." I tell my friends.

"Oh no. You didn't get a boyfriend did you? Nope, I don't approve." My friend Scott said.

"No, I have even better news. So you all know my dream to become a singer?" I ask them. They all nod, saying yes.

"Well, I applied for the X Factor!!" I say not so loud.

"You what?!?! Omg Nessa. I'm so happy. I hope you get in." My best friend Emily says.

"Aw. Thanks guys that means alot." I say. We all go into a group hug. After that, we all left home. I, of course, walked. My friend Joe offered a ride but I denied.

As I was saying, I was walking home from school when my mom texted me saying to hurry because she had exciting news. I got home and my mom was waiting for me impatietly for me.

"Sweety, we have some information to tell you." she said in a serious tone.

"Mom. What's going on?" I ask frightened a bit.

"It's about the application you signed for the audition." She said.

Thats when I thought my life was over.
