KOKORO [Vocaloid! Seven x Reader]
After Sevenloid came to life, being possessed by Saeyoung's soul, (y/n) and he had what seemed like a perfect life.
Of course, there were some ups and downs, but overall, their life was perfectly happy. (Y/n) introduced Saeyoung to the RFA again and they were all shocked and scared, but eventually they accepted the fact that Saeyoung came back and celebrated it, basking in the miracle that happened to their lucky friend and his wife.
Yes, wife.
Saeyoung proposed to (y/n) a few days after coming back, making that week the happiest week of her life, and of course, she screamed 'yes' at the top of her lungs, causing some of the neighbors to think she was crazy, but she didn't really care, because she was too happy to give a fuck in all honesty at that time.
Years passed, leaving (y/n) to age alone, while Saeyoung, as a miraculous humanized-machine, didn't even witness any sign of aging. For Saeyoung, time was now infinite, when it definitely wasn't for the simple human (y/n).
They never got any kids, due to Saeyoung not being a real person. They didn't care much, though; because the two of them were enough for each other and they needed nothing else.
In one cursed day, a disaster happened. Something Saeyoung's never thought of or expected-
(y/n) died.
She was smiling gently as her breathing slowly became slower and more shallow, her eyes slowly closed while Saeyoung could feel her once-warm body cool down, her (skin/tone) skin turning into a horrifyingly paler shade as she tried to squeeze Saeyoung's hand reassuringly, trying to tell him that everything'll be all right when he knew it was all just a sugarcoated lie.
That was when her eyes slowly closed, her grip on Saeyoung's warm hand becoming loose as her hand fell to the side of the bed, her skin now deathly cold.
Saeyoung could do nothing but stare in an unpleasant mix of shock, horror, pain, and sorrow. His beautiful golden orbs that resembled the breath-taking sunset were widened, tears flowing out of them nonstop, unbeknownst to Saeyoung himself. He felt as if the whole world was so unreal, as if it was one of those overly-realistic dreams- no, nightmares.
It felt so real that it hurt, it made his heart ache although he thought that after (y/n) brought him back, he'd never feel pain, because he'd always be with her.
He'd never thought that this day would come; maybe he didn't want to think of it, maybe he simply didn't think this was a real thing, maybe he was too intoxicated in his haze of love and madness that he didn't even realize that everyone's fate is death, that they couldn't run away from it or fight it back.
Everyone, young or old, rich or poor, strong or weak, brave or cowardly-- they all couldn't face death. Death is the strongest enemy of humans, or maybe it's an ally of theirs. They could never decide.
But what was more important was Saeyoung's current state. He was screaming and crying while trying to get (y/n) to come back to life, which he cannot do. It was a miracle that he, a robot, could become a living. It was the power of love that brought him back, (y/n)'s true, honest love gave him the chance to come back again, only to love the person that gave him everything and even more.
It was so cruel how he had to watch her die without being able to do anything. All of his life, he didn't feel anything other than happiness. He felt satisfied with his life, but the way the things we love the most end tha fastest breaks our hearts so greatly that it leaves a scar even if we glue them back together.
But now he's discovered a new emotion, pain. He didn't know there was something such as this horrible feeling, since he was living peacefully with the love of his life. He didn't feel such sorrow, he didn't feel such sadness. Not until now.
He looked down at the floor, feeling dull, as if his world just broke down as a whole.
Is this how (y/n) felt when he died?
How could she undergo this amount of pain?
Is this how loneliness and hopelessness feel like?
He's long forgotten those, but now they're all coming back more intensely than ever. Now he understood why she wanted him back so desperately. Loneliness hurts. Losing someone you love so dearly hurts. Being weak hurts. Falling in love hurts. Living hurts. Everything hurts.
Saeyoung's fragile body couldn't handle all those strong negative emotions, his program broke down, resulting in an error. Suddenly, Saeyoung stopped 'working', much like living, in human terms.
He couldn't handle the bitter truth, so instead of leaving (y/n) to her loneliness, he decided to join her and be by her side.
Forever.
