Chapter 1

|| Caleb's POV ||

I laid in bed with the most amazing guy ever. My mate, Avery Chandler. God I love him. Everything about him is perfect. His sandy blonde hair and those breathe taking eyes. "Alpha" there was a knock on the door. I got up from under Avery's sleeping body and went to the door. There stood our beta. I don't remember his name.

"There is a leopard on our lands," the beta stated simply. I woke Avery gently confused. Why would a leopard come all the way down here? I mean the closet habitat for a leopard is snow around here. I bit my lip as Avery woke.

"What is it Caleb?" His sexy ass sleepy voice replied to my shaking him.

"There is a leopard," I replied simply as he got up and put some cloths on. I blushed deeply realizing I wasn't wearing any clothes either.

'Shit I forgot we were having sex earlier' I thought and grabbed some cloths as well. I didn't get the point of Avery putting on cloths if he was going to shift, he was gonna be naked when he came back any way. I sighed putting on a black V-neck and some dark blue skinny jeans

"be careful" I told him softly before he ran out

"I always will be" Avery said reassuring me and kissed my forehead. I didn't like that. I wanted his lips on mine. So I pulled him down.

'So tall' I thought to myself and kissed him softly. I broke apart and let him take care of the problem.

It was still strange to me that a leopard would show up in the middle of northern England. I went out to sit on the front porch and looked at the long winding driveway.

I missed my friends at the blue moon pack for sure. And I still worry for Levi. His mate just disappeared off the face of the earth and it was horrible. I don't know what I would do with out Avery.

If I hadn't saved Levi, he would've died. God I can't believe I even thought that! I saved him because he was my best friend and that was final! I know I worried the shit out of Avery by doing it but what was I suppose to do? Watch my friend die?

I went in and looked at the pups playing around with our omega watching them. I sighed knowing Avery and I will never have that luxury. I wanted pups. But I'm a guy that wasn't suppose to be possible.

I went back to the room after playing with the puppies for a little while. Avery still wasn't back and it's been a couple hours...

Is he....?

No. No. No. NO!

He isn't.

Oh my god what if he is?

Tears started to blur my eyes. I knew Avery was a strong wolf but he was going up against a leopard and those are pretty strong for cats. What if the cat killed him?

I whipped the silent tears as I shook my head. Avery wouldn't die on me and neither would I.

"He is ok" I said to myself.

I went back outside to see Avery and the other pack members with them. The leopard between them all. Everyone shifted. Even the stunning snow leopard.

What?

Authors Note: I, of course, changed the characters a bit so it's not completely taking away what the original authors did. Also I wanted Caleb to have a lot of inner problems because I feel like that's what he would be like after being an alpha for a little bit. But also because I think it will make the story better. I usually write short chapters and I'm gonna try my best to make my chapters longer. There for all the place changes and stuff like that.
