"Mudblood," he sneered.
Katherine Wood glared furiously at Draco Malfoy. Her dark golden hair was like a river of burnt honey and her crystal blue eyes were blazing with anger. He annoyed her with that cocky smirk, those enrapturing grey eyes, that sleek blonde hair.
"Leave her alone, Malfoy," she hissed, arm wound around her friend.
Mae Bane's soft chestnut hair was loose over her face and she had tears spilling down her cheeks. Her green eyes looked like broken glass and Katherine felt absolutely furious that Draco would do that to her.
"Don't worry, Mae," Alissa Blu crooned soothingly, pushing short brown hair away from her eyes, which burned with dark fury at Draco.
Rhianna Walker stepped forward, ready to hex the spiteful Slytherin. Her glossy black hair was pulled back in a swinging ponytail and her pale blue eyes were filled with rage. She was gripping her wand tightly as if she couldn't think of the right spell to use on him, though she knew so many that could hurt him.
"You're a dick, Malfoy," Callista Ward snapped. Her auburn hair hung loosely around her pale face, bringing out the colour in her hazel-coloured eyes.
Finally Sienna Clarke, the other muggle-born of the group stepped forward. Her light blonde hair was almost identical to Draco's, and with those deep grey eyes, they could almost be siblings. Instead of pulling out her wand, she simply walked over and smacked the blonde idiot right across the face.
Mae smiled as he slunk away. "Thanks, Sienna."
"Anything for you, sweetie," Sienna replied, giving her a smile.
Rhianna rolled her big blue eyes. "I was ready to hex his smirk right off his face."
"And that would have amused us all greatly," Alissa said, smiling dryly.
Callista grinned. "Just wait, Rhi. You'll have plenty more opportunities."
Katherine pulled away from her friend. "I'll be back in a sec guys."
She ran down the corridor that Draco had slipped down, her golden hair falling loose from its braid. She finally caught up to him and grabbed him arm.
"You shouldn't do that, Draco," Katherine told him.
He smiled at her. "I have to keep up the act, Kate."
"You don't have to bring down my friends though," she told him.
Katherine sighed when he wound his arms around her thin waist, pulling her to him. He smelled strongly of cologne and spearmint, and his gorgeous eyes had her captivated.
"Someone could see us," Katherine whispered in his ear.
He kissed her jaw. "No one's here, Kate."
"They could easily walk around the corner," she reasoned.
Draco smirked. "It's almost as if you don't want me to kiss you."
"It's not," she replied, rebuking him. "I would just hate to get caught."
He grinned. "Don't be so paranoid. It will be fine. And if someone sees us we can just confund them or use a memory charm."
"That would be cruel, Draco."
He groaned. "Honestly, Kate? I don't care. I just want you."
"You have such a honey tongue," she mumbled, melting into his kiss.
Katherine wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. She smiled onto his lips as he engulfed her in his arms.
"I need to go," she whispered in his ear.
He huffed and pulled away. "You're no fun. But fine. Go."
"See you later," she called, and ran off to join her Gryffindor friends in the common room.

"Do you ever get them mixed up?" Callista asked, arms wound around Harry.
Mae laughed and shook her head. "No. George is way hotter.
Sienna rolled her eyes. "Nope. Fred's better."
"So, you two will be sisters when you get married," Rhianna smirked.
Alissa put her hands to her head. "Can you guys be a bit more quiet, I'm trying to write to my boyfriend but I can't concentrate."
"Aw," Hermione cooed, "is Viktor in need of some love?"
Ron snorted. "He's an international Quidditch player. He's got plenty of love."
"I feel unloved," Katherine whined. "You guys all have boyfriends and I'm single. Calli's with Harry, Mae's with George, Sienna's with Fred, Ali's with Krum–"
"Hey, I'm single," Rhianna interrupted.
Katherine shrugged. "Yeah, but you aren't short of options."
"Neither are you, Kat," Mae countered. "Dean would die to go out with you."
Sienna nodded. "Yeah, and Cormac McLaggen asked you out too, Kath."
"Well, I'm pretty sure McLaggen's over that now," Katherine argued. "I thought he was now into Hermione or something."
Hermione groaned. "He's so annoying!"
"You were the one who asked him to Slughorn's party," Ron pointed out.
Hermione's face flushed. "Thank you, Ronald. I needed that."
"So how's Lavender?" Callista asked scowling. She shared the same opinion as Hermione on that matter, and they were both not too happy about it.
Ron looked perplexed. "She's fine. Everything's good."
"Excellent," Harry said hastily, eager to change the subject.
Katherine picked it up quickly. "I can't believe we've got such a good team for Quidditch."
"I'm not in it," Ron said grumpily.
Alissa finally turned from her letter and laughed. "Katherine is Oliver Wood's sister. You really think you would get Keeper over her?"
"I'm so glad that we're Chaser's together," Callista expressed, smiling at Sienna and Mae.
Rhianna laughed. "Beater's are the best. I get to swing a big bat and hit people!"
"How fun," Katherine mused.
Rhianna smiled at her best friend. "Shut up, Kathy."
"Okay, okay," Katherine responded, raising her arms in surrender.
Alissa heaved a happy sigh. "Finally done. Harry, can I borrow Hedwig?"
"Go for your life," he huffed.
Alissa attached the letter to Hedwig's leg and the snowy owl disappeared into the night.
