Lauren's POV

Y/N's been awfully different since the drive with Kiara — did she cheat on me? Is that why she's been so distant? When I try to bring up the baby her mind just snaps as if she had forgotten we were having one. I want to talk to her yet...a part of me still doesn't want to know the truth because if it's what I think it is I'll get hurt.

"Is there something wrong?" I called y/n from the couch as she was in the kitchen looking out the window. "No," I had hardly heard but still made out.

"Everything's fine. Why?"

The silenced filled our  space "it's just—never-mind— do you want to come sit and watch a movie?" I asked "im good..." is all she answered with. It's all she's been answering with for the last two days and I've had enough. Like it or not I needed to know.

"What is up with you? Are you cheating on me with Kiara? Because lately it's seemed that I was a million miles away and as if she were always on your head." I didn't know what I was saying at this point "if you want her so badly go get her!" I shouted and y/n looked at me, her eyes furrowed her lip curled.

"No, I'm not cheating on you Lauren. Are you crazy?" She stopped and I stopped and looked at her form across the room. "No, I'm not crazy. But I'm going crazy with not knowing what happened that day. I know something must have happened for you to be acting this way y/n." She shook her head and ignored me. "You said honesty was everything in this relationship. Why can't you tell me what happened?!" I cried.

"Because I can't! Lauren you don't understand what I did —" I cut her off "yeah because you won't fucking tell me what you did!" I shouted. "Kiara was trying to tell me something when she took her eyes off the road and I moved the steering wheel since we were about to crash into a pole and hit someone then kept driving okay!?" She said all in one breath.

My mind couldn't process what it had just heard.

"Lauren..."

"You have to turn yourself in..." I said looking away from her

Your POV

She was right. I did have to turn myself in. And that's exactly where she was taking me. "Are you sure about this?" She asked "Lauren you were the one who told me I have to turn myself in." I looked at her "yeah but you don't have to." She said as we stepped out of the car in a in front of the police station. "Yes, she has to — because I'm turning myself in too." I heard from behind us "Kiara?" I asked and both Lauren and my attentions were drawn to her.

"Funny, seeing you here." Lauren said the Kiara rudely "nice seeing you too, Lauren." Kiara smiled and waved at Lauren. "Why didn't you turn yourselves in, in the first place?" Lauren yelled at us both — "you wouldn't have been in so much trouble if you turn yourselves in now!" Lauren began to shout but we shushes her not wanting to cause attention. "It's never to late to do the right thing, Lauren." I said to her — "but babe...your just going to be in more trouble, than if you would have turned your selves in the first place." I knew she was getting emotional so I walked up to her and hugged her.

I noticed Kiara rolled her eyes "we don't have time for this, like you said the sooner the better." Kiara complained "who's going to be here for the baby...?" Lauren sobbed — "she's right...." I looked at Kiara "okay I'll be the hero as long as you come with me."

"We can just go home right now..." Lauren whispered "at least let me take her in...c'mon she's being nice enough to let me go." I looked at Lauren "okay..." she leaned up and pecked my lips before I left with Kiara. "Are you sure about this?" I asked her and she looked back — at the car "no..." she whispered "but I'm going to." She said pulling the doors to the police station, which was awfully full.

"Hello, can I speak with an officer?" I heard Kiara ask a receptionist at the front desk.

"Thank you, Kiara..." she cut me off "thank you? I got you in this mess — I'm not going to drag you down with me." I was about to say something else but a police officer interrupted us "I heard you two ladies wanted to speak, so what is it?" He asked and Kira inched closer to me...almost as if she was afraid.

Her right side centimeters away from my right side as she looked at the officer biting her lip — I slowly reached for her hand to get her attention — you could tell she was blanking out as my pinky touched hers she came back. "There was a hit and run on December 1st and I um..." the officer interrupted "I believe there was — those twats deserves almost being hit if it was my opinion." The officer went on but I interrupted "sorry, but didn't they have a baby whom was killed?"

"What? Oh, no no they didn't it was a baby carriage full of expensive pre-paid credit cards — not a baby."

Kiara and I looked at each other confused "they were robbers —" Kiara cut him off "but there was ambulances right?" We looked at the man "yeah people were going crazy — they actually thought a baby was in there." He chuckled — Kiara and I laughed "oh my god..." I said and Pulled her in for a hug. "Wait wait why are you two asking?" The cop asked "school project. Gotta go thank you!" Kiara shouted and her and I walked out of the police station happily.

"We didn't kill a baby!" I shouted causing everyone to turn to me — I awkwardly pretended it never happened. "This is amazing!" She said — "I was so scared I didn't want to go to jail." She began to get emotional "aw c'mon now your not!" I told her and she laughed — "oh thank God," she wrapped her arms around me.  "I'm so sorry, for everything."

Her head in the crook of my neck as we were in public — "it's okay — really I had fun...you know except for thinking I murdered a child... Let's get you home." I said as I opened the door to Kiara's car and she stepped in. "Can we talk...?" She said seconds after we were both in the car "about what happened last time we were in a car together..." Kiara said and I nodded "it was a —" she cut me off "don't tell me it was a mistake in your cute little accent y/n. We both know it wasn't — if it was you would have left with Lauren...but you stayed...here with me."

She looked at me and I couldn't think of anything to say "maybe I'm crazy going after a girl who's dating a pregnant girl — but I really like you." She laughed the last off it as if she were waiting for ever to say.

"I don't know—" she shut me up by shushing me "you don't have to say anything...just take me home."
