Harry's POV:

I sink to my knees. This can't be happening. I pray to myself that this is just some twisted nightmare that I can wake up from and everything would be fine. I stare down at the grass under my knees. What did I do to deserve this?

I remember all the times Sky and I have had together, though there weren't many. Seeing her on the side of the road that one night, watching Paranormal Activity 2 with her and the boys (then ending up watching The Lion King), having to comfort her after she had a nightmare, waking up to find her head on my chest... what happened to those happy moments? Where was one when I needed it?

"No, stop..." I hear a muffled voice say. I look up to see Sky struggling against Shawn and trying to push him away. "Stop, Shawn!"

My body seems to act on its own. I stand up quickly and sprint up to them. I tackle Shawn to the ground and punch him in the face. "Harry!" I hear Sky yell. I ignore her.

Shawn fights back by shoving me off and punching me in the nose. I uppercut him in the chin. He spits out blood and kicks me in the chest, causing me to fall against a lamp and bang my head. My vision blurs and I feel like dying, but then I hear Sky call out my name again. It gives me the energy to put Shawn in a wrestler's hold and throw him to the ground. I bend down and punch him in the cheek. I grab Sky's wrist and run down the sidewalk, leaving Shawn on the sidewalk, coughing and spitting.

We make it to the house before I start feeling light-headed. As I start staggering, Sky rushes me to the couch and has me lay down. I hear her fill a bag of ice from the ice box in the kitchen and hurry back to me. She holds it on my nose, which had bruised and started bleeding.

I stare up at Sky as she starts crying quietly. "It's okay, Sky," I say, my voice hoarse.

"No, it's not okay," She sobs. "This is all my fault! It's my fault that you're hurt and that... that you hate me."

I was taken aback. "You think I hate you?" I ask.

"Don't you?" Sky weeps.

"Not at all," I answer with the best smile I could muster. "But I just have one question... Why did you do this to me?"

"I... I don't know," Sky says quietly. "I was mad at you for making me mad. I guess I wanted revenge."

"You're pretty good at revenge," I joke.

This makes Sky laugh a little, but she still cries. "I didn't even love Shawn. He was annoying." I smile at her. "I'm really sorry I put you through this. Forgive me?"

"Yes," I say.

"That was a really brave thing you did back there, fighting Shawn. But it was also foolish," Sky tells me.

"I know," I admit. "I was just trying to protect you."

Sky chuckles. "You really are an overprotective father."

I smile. "You know it."

Sky smiles back, tears streaming down her face. She runs her fingers through my hair.

I close my eyes and fall asleep to the rhythmic strokes of Sky's fingers. I was finally at ease.

I wake up the next day to the sound of the doorbell ringing. I open my eyes, though the light gives me a headache. I hear Skylar opening the door and welcome people in. "He's over there sleeping," She says. I hear the sounds of feet shuffling across the ground towards me. I quickly close my eyes and pretend to sleep.

"That's a nasty bruise on his nose." Liam. There are murmurs of agreement. I can pick out the rest of the boys and Mel.

"I don't think it's broken," Sky tells them. "It might take a little bit to heal, though."
