Shadow Wings

A shadow moved under the cloud filled night sky towards a large mansion, quickly darting inside through an open window on the second floor. The shadow's long coat flowed like a cape behind it, exposing its feminine curves and body. She stood, her coat falling to her ankles as she pressed her back against the wall, the shadows hiding her as three guards walked past the open room. She pressed a button on a device behind her ear, and a blue, holographic visor appeared over her eyes, I can't believe Master sent me on such an easy job.

A voice suddenly came through her earpiece, "Flavia, did you manage to get inside?" She rolled her eyes and spoke softly, "Yes, now please shut up CD. I have to focus." The voice laughed, "Well then you should know that it's on the opposite side of the manor from where you are......just letting you know." Flavia groaned, "Perfect......." She looked into the hall and noticed the adjacent room's door was open.
Flavia threw two needle like objects into the corners of the adjacent door frame, then blinked twice. Two video feeds appeared over each eye on her visor, showing both sides of the hallway. She looked for another second before slipping across the empty hall. Just as she did an alarm erupted throughout the mansion, sending several armed guards out into the hall, surrounding her. "Via! What did you do?!" Flavia stared at the guards in surprise, "But I didn't touch anything!" One burly man stepped forward, his thick mustache prominent under the glass visor of his helmet, "Don't move and we will gently remove you from the premises, or don't and we will violently remove you."

The girl in Flavia's ear spoke up, "The alarm sounded from the first floor, it may have been a wannabe amateur thief. Master Sid says to quickly finish your task. I don't think stealth matters at this point." The surrounded girl sighed, "Thanks CD...." The mustached man who had spoken before, pulled out a metal, cylindrical object from a holster on his belt. He pushed a red, rectangular button and a beam of orange light erupted from the top, forming a blade. She closed her eyes as three more pulled out their shock swords, the low hum emanating from the blades made her smile at the familiar noise, like a lullaby. Flavia opened her eyes and rushed towards the wall.
She quickly leapt up the white wall and kicked off of it, catapulting herself towards the mustached man. She slammed her leg into his head, sending the stunned man to the floor. She immediately rotated herself in midair, and crashed her opposite heel into a guard's visor, shattering it as the force of her kick sent him into the wall beside him. Flavia tucked her head down as she hit the floor, rolling backwards and quickly rising to her feet. She grabbed the two guards' shock swords and spun them in her palm before gripping them upside down and running towards the remaining two men. Her shock swords collided with the two guards', the low hum becoming a loud crackling that filled the hall. Flavia smiled at the two men, slowly licking her lip, "Has anyone ever told you how handsome you are? Because you really get me going......" The men paused for a moment and Flavia grinned, "Idiots.." She took advantage of the moment and brought her shin hard into the side of one's leg, sliding it back before raising her other knee and bringing her foot into the other guard's gut, sending him stumbling back. She quickly pressed the now freed shock sword into the guard's exposed neck, sending his body jolting and spasming against the wall. Just as the guard recovered, the girl rushed towards him, driving the pommel of the shock sword hard into his sore gut, smacking his exposed forearm with the other blade, making him drop his shock sword. Flavia stepped to the side and kicked the back of his right knee, making him lean to that side as she kicked his side several times before bringing the tip of her boot into the bottom of his jaw, breaking it unintentionally as he fell to the hard floor.
"Sorry!" Flavia dropped one of the shock swords as she hurried down the hall, before she was blocked by two more guards. "Stop right there!"

Dammit! She rushed at the first one as he swung his shock sword towards her head. Flavia ducked, grabbing his outreached arm and twisting it, while she pulled herself up with his arm and slammed her knee into his face, shattering the visor. She pivoted towards the wall and kicked off of it, aiming towards the remaining guard. The guard caught her and threw her into the wall, she gasped as the air was knocked out of her, making her drop the sword. Flavia stood, catching her breath, "This should be fun." She bobbed to the right, avoiding his punch before striking his torso rapidly with her elbow and palms. The guard stepped back lowering his arms attempting to protect his chest as he swung his fist towards her again. She smacked it aside as she brought her palm into his jaw, breaking it. Before he could react Flavia kicked off the wall and kicked his helmeted head through the adjacent wall. She sighed, Boys always finish playing first..

Flavia reached her target, leaving behind many incapacitated guards. "Finally!" She opened the door to find a large, hulk of a man. "CD? Why didn't you tell me they had a really, really, really big guy?!" The girl on her earpiece shrugged, "I knew there was something I forgot to mention.....sorry Via....."

"Thanks," Flavia took a deep breath and looked at the large man, "Do you take a special supplement to get that big? And does it make you small down there?" He became angry and charged at the mocking girl. She rolled her wrists and the studs on her gloved knuckles began to glow and crackle with electricity. The man bent over to tackle her and Flavia vaulted over him, her hands sending volts of electricity through his body as she she held onto his bare shoulders. As his body shook violently, she leapt off and he landed with a loud boom. "Some guys just can't take a joke." Flavia rolled her wrists again, turning off her gloves as she walked over to a totem-like statue standing alone on a pedestal, "Okay....so this stupid thing wasn't as easy to get as I thought." She heard a giggle over her earpiece. Her eyes glowed faintly as she blinked, her visor scanning the statue, Don't put something so obvious on stuff, idiots. She pulled off a small tracker on the bottom of the statue that her scanner had picked up. "Well...time to go." Flavia gently kicked the floor with the tip of her boot and the soles glowed a soft blue as she slowly lifted into the air.

Flavia Ingram took flight through the open window in the room, and as she flew under the light of the moon her flowing cape appearing like a pair of black wings.

A man in a cheap mask looked up and smiled at the shadow flying under the moon as guards aimed their guns and surrounded him, Well done, "Winged Shadow"....enjoy this now, because the chase will soon begin.
