America
A country of
Grace and Embrace
And
Disgrace and Distaste
From Putting Britain
Into its' place
To getting shot
In your face
From freedom
And independence
And being filled with
Benevolence
To not setting aside our
Differences
And getting along
Which is not evident
So far in our
Country's history
We've tried not to make it a
Mystery
But recently
In society
People have had to fight the
Machine
So that they can have their
Opinions be
Free
Like Black Lives Matter and
LGBT
The new "Sons of Liberty"
Of our supposed "equal"
Country
Some of our founding fathers
Like Hamilton
And the German-Prussian general
Friedrich Wilhelm Von Steuben
Were supposedly
Gay
And those who are facing
Racial profiling
Today
Like their ancestors
They still don't get
Full pay
So, as an ambassador
Of both sides of this
Debate
I'll like to
State
That once we reach
Equity
Or what everyone needs,
Then this country will be
Equal and Free
With more good
Memories
