[Last Name]'s phone rang a minute later. She wasted no time to answer it. "Hello?"
"I'm sorry," he/she blurted, "I'm so sorry, [Nickname]-chan. I shouldn't have walked away from you like that."
"It's okay."
[Best Friend's Name] blinked. "You... forgive me...?"
[Last Name] sighed. "You had a right to be mad. I wasn't acting right toward you, either... I just... can't explain it all right now. But I will one day, and when I'm ready... I'll tell you."
"Have you told Hanamiya?" he/she asked.
She remained silent for a moment, deciding whether to be honest or not. "I have," she finally said.
"Why do you trust him more than me?"
It was a valid question, but it made [Last Name] flinch nonetheless. "I can't really explain, but there's something about him that assures me I can trust him. And maybe it's because he sometimes worries about me, or sometimes does nice things for me, but I feel safe with him."
Her confession made her go red, and she was glad she was by herself.
[Best Friend's Name] laughed. "Honeymoon stage got you hard," he/she teased.
She giggled. "Guess so."
"So I'll see you at school tomorrow?"
She smiled. "Of course."
