Do you ever wonder what happens to dreams when they have been dreamt about and you have woken up? They are sent to a place where everything is either a nightmare or a wonderful dream. This world is a big place every one’s dreams are there. It is called many things: the dream world, forgets and loves, and also called the dreams and the nightmares. The world is split in half, well not actually in half. Oh, sorry! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Emily. I have two cats named Oliver and Rory and a stuffed rabbit named Maloney. I am 12 years old. Well, enough about me. Let’s get to the story.
Well it all started when a little girl around five was always alone. Her dad owned a TV show called ‘What’s up?’, where some people will get asked questions and if they answer right they go to the next round, but if they answer wrong, they get put on a jet pack and flown about a hundred feet in the air. Her mom was always at her modeling job. She was top stylist of the month. (WOW) So since she was all alone, she decided she could make her own friends. She made an imaginary planet filled with friends and all the time in the world. She would fight monsters and ugly villains. She called it The Dream World. That does not mean that that was the only name for it.
So one night, she dreamt about this wonderful place. Then a wonderful thing happened; she made the world in her dream, but sadly she added the bad dreams. Once it was made, girls and boys everywhere would have their dreams put in the dream world. The good dreams would be put to a place where they could be used for that child’s dream again, and when they were used again, they’d put a dream catcher on the child’s bed. The nightmares would be put away in a place they could not be used. The nightmares wanted to be reused, but the good dreams did not allow it.
So, the nightmares got in a huge fight and war happened. Kids all over the world didn’t have dreams that night. Kids asked their parents why they didn’t have dreams that night. Their parents just said they must have forgotten it. Kids went to sleep and had a dream about the war, not on purpose of course. The happy dreams needed more good dreams. But with the good dreams the good dreams won. So, the leader of the bad dreams called many names to like the dream world. Well he has names: Nightmare King, the Boogey Man of Dreams and also called Bob; it stands for bad-dreams of bad. Bob said the nightmares would rise and would be used in peoples’ dreams. The leader of the nice dreams is also called Fred. It does not stand for anything. It is just is his name.
Fred said that he had a vision. The vision was about the time Bob would rise. He said that Bob would rise even stronger than he did last and would have more nightmares and that Fred would die. Fred said this day would Bob would be defeated on this day. Fred said he did not fear this day. But everyone knew he was afraid of his death. He never told anyone how or when he died. He did not even tell his wife Mattie. He wouldn’t even tell his daughter Lily. People said he would get stabbed or his heart would get cut out. But those are just rumors, just stories people made up, things that are probably not true. Like, maybe this whole world is just made up. But that is where it went all wrong. That is how I get in the story.
