The video had you staring, puzzled at why it was spreading so quickly through the internet. You only saw a middle-aged woman shouting at another person, but you couldn't understand what was so funny. The comments section was full of Chinese, the rare instances of English in the comment section not helping you one bit. Carrying your laptop to Hong Kong, he placed his book down when you approached him. "Hong Kong, have you seen this?" His eyes seemed to slightly fill with humor, before nodding. "Good, I need you to translate it." He stared at you, curious. "Why the sudden interest? You didn't seem to like Cantonese at all when I first introduced it to you." Gulping, you stared at a painting on the wall. "Well, I found this video being shared everywhere." You would never admit it, but you had been trying to confess for a long time.

Taiwan had recommended a confession in his home language, but you found Cantonese very hard. The only way for the confession to go smoothly was to listen to more and speak more to make your accent smoother. Seeing you so flustered, he patted the seat next to him. "Mandarin is very different from Cantonese, but the mainland's don't seem to understand this. They try to speak it, but simply changing the tone from Mandarin to Cantonese won't work."

Pointing to the lyrics, he continued explaining. "你無丁丁播警 is one of the examples. 無丁丁 means not having any sexual reproductive organs for men, and this is one of the jokes in the video." Your face burned red, trying to understand how Hong Kong could speak of reproductive organs so calmly. Perhaps it was from the time he lived with England, and that would explain the reason why he could continue talking about this joke. "What about the others?"

"厚多士 is thick toast, but the correct word should be 好多事 which means being a busybody. 食菜肉 means eating something but the correct phrase should be 食錯藥 which means calling someone mental." Hong Kong continued explaining to you. You nodded, finally understanding why this video was so well received. He stared at you, before gently pecking you on the cheek. "Don't think so much. Go to sleep, (Y/N)." Face burning, you whispered a soft confession in his home language. His eyes grew wide, before turning warm and repeating the same phrase to you.
